An ump of one of our recent games told my cousin that 2 rules changes are being considered to shorten games. 1) limit pickoff attempts to 2, and 2) when a relief pitcher is brought in they must face at least 3 batters.

Can't say I am a fan of either. Don't screw up a great game. I told cuz to tell him to get calls right the first time to minimize appeals. At a recent game there were 3 calls overturned.

I heard Chris Burke saying NCAA should mimic MLB game by implementing both rule changes you mentioned. I don’t like either one. I would eliminate the shift but not make amy other changes.

Why eliminate the shift? Shortstop was originally an outfielder. I see no issues with aligning anyway you like so long as it's done in a timely manner, of course.

They are both coming. I guess Frank knew ahead of time and was preparing for it. Don't need to throw over just keep get the hitter out. The second rule will not affect analytics guys because they don't pitch situationally. They throw who has the best velo, spin rate, and all those numbers. The sad part is guys like Kirby could not pitch with analytic coach.
