Finally followed your rec here. Picked up the first 12 issues of the Waid run. Loving it so far. Think Samnee fully joins in issue 12. I’ll be looking for the rest of the run moving forward. Appreciate the recommendation.

Paolo Rivera was great on it. I remember being disappointed when I hear he was leaving. Then Samnee comes on and just kills it too.

Honestly, that might be my favorite Scarecrow cover. In my Scarecrow row of comics, that one and Detective 572 flank my copy of Batman 189.

Finally saw one of those DC Comics displays in the wild and it was at the BP by my house!

Pretty smart promo. Just a bunch of #1s (or story arc part ones they slapped a 1 on) to suck you in. Pretty wide range of stories too.

Had to grab a few.

Picked this up yesterday. In 1989 Rick Vietch was doing a time travel story with Swamp Thing. In issue 88 he did a story where he encounters Jesus. The issue was basically finished before getting pulled at the last second. Vietch left the title and that was was that… until this week!

Not only did they print the issue but they did it as a book from 1989 with matte paper and house ads from the era and including a Batman movie ad on the back.

It’s going to have 3 more issues of new material to follow up where this one left off.

Not sure if any of you buy current comics, but Bad Idea comics is putting some good stuff out. They have some talented folks working with them. I’m enjoying The Hab and Ordained - both limited series they have running right now.

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago and finally got it in the mail. Gambit 1 but it’s the Peach Momoko cover variant. If y’all aren’t familiar with Momoko, you should check out her artwork. I think it’s great!

Picked up this little hidden gem for $2 from Mr Ks in JC yesterday. Been in the lookout for it for sometime but always thought it was an overpriced when I ran across it in comic shops.
