Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Well, dun took oft and left us for the Sam Fracisky Giants. Must naught a been too interested in keeping him. It has sounded to me like Tony would have stayed but it was going to cost us.
Dude you cannot be serious. DW gave Tony V everything a college baseball coach could ask for. At the time it’s hard to blame anyone for TV leaving. He made history. Not too many people get a chance to do that. But stop making it sound like DW just didn’t want him here. I mean do you honestly think DW didn’t want the best coach in school history and the country at the time to stay?

Come on Catbone you know better.

Bent Creek in Gatlinburg is in my Top 3 favorite courses I've ever played.

Not the best courses, but personal favorites.
I absolutely love it.

Its quirky. Its not "fair" in some places. But it's just so much fun. Risk reward everywhere.........65 or 85.
Have you ever played Tri-County Club in Oliver Springs aka Woody’s?

LVs beat Texas for the win. “It was the water’s fault,” Texas said. “Rowing on tiny trampoline water.”

The #3 Tennessee LV rowing team made history by winning its first Southeastern Conference (SEC) title, edging out #1 Texas in a nail-biting finish.

The championship came down to the last 250 meters, where Tennessee’s 1v8 crew held off the Longhorns. The LVs finished with a time of 6:06.939, while Texas crossed the line at 6:08.400.
Horns down!

No.....I know its McLemore now.....I need to play it. Heard it's beautiful, but not the greatest layout.

Lookout Mountain CC is a real gem!
I had a friend who was a member at CCC, and when they closed for renos, had a reciprocal withall the private clubs in Nooga, so played Lookout Mountain CC a few times.

Only played Canyon Ridge once, right when it opened, but just going off memory, would take McLemore any day of the week. Maybe it was just being stunned by the scenery.

obviously The Honors Course is #1.........but Creeks Bend and Valleybrook in the Hixon area are "low key" fun tracks.

I grew up going to Valleybrook as my Dad was a member. They had a great pool too.
Caddied at The Honors for few months after I graduated college. If you know Bear, tell him he never gave me back my $25 for the Caddysuit which I returned. Still kinda chaps my butt..lol

I think it was the Provident Classic. John Daly was a big attraction then. I was member at CB at that time. was really a great course for the money. Did you know Mike Nelms? He was the pro at CB.

I knew him well. Great man. Great Club Pro.

I was fortunate to win the Coca Cola one year. 🤷‍♂️
