You ever played the world class course "Lost Creek"? We played there some, it was a good price and we weren't that serious. . .Ive played in Dandridge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and Nolichucky..........., but not in Newport.![]()
Bays Mtn is in kingsport moranYou ever played the world class course "Lost Creek"? We played there some, it was a good price and we weren't that serious. . .
. . . but nothing outshines Bays Mountain Golf Course in Seymour. It was a dump, compared to pretty much anywhere on the planet. It was only $20 w/cart for all you could play. They had a dive bar on the roof and a swimming pool next to it. Actually had some good times there. Hate that it closed down.
I'm not proud of this, but i used to play "money games" in a lot of small town "dog tracks"You ever played the world class course "Lost Creek"? We played there some, it was a good price and we weren't that serious. . .

Those dog tracks are so much fun to play.............never in great shape and designed by some local yeh-hoo, but some great memories and fun courses.
Miss that.
I like it there. I always liked that elevated hole. I worked at a sister resort to Bent Creek, Mountain Loft, and got free golf there.Bent Creek in Gatlinburg is in my Top 3 favorite courses I've ever played.
Not the best courses, but personal favorites.
I absolutely love it.
Its quirky. Its not "fair" in some places. But it's just so much fun. Risk reward everywhere.........65 or 85.
"Sky Hi" hole #12 at Bent Creek is very unique..Bent Creek in Gatlinburg is in my Top 3 favorite courses I've ever played.

Reminds me, I worked with a woman who lived on the course there. We'd stop and have a mimosa with her every time we played. She was pretty rough, but was always hitting on us. About 30 years older than we were. I should've bit the bullet and put a ring on it. She was making $700k+/yr selling timeshare back then, maybe a lot more than that.
Strong disagree.TV didn’t get to build his roster in MLB.
His personality works in any locker room.
I grew up in West TN and then Middle....
Bays Mountain was pretty rough. You had to be careful walking or driving the fairways. You'd hit a big hidden hole and tear your leg off or break the cart into pieces.
I'm not sure how much golf we actually played. We'd be 70% drunk by the 9th hole. I'm shocked one of us didnt have a heatstroke playing like that.I grew up in West TN and then Middle....
We called the "games" in West TN "The Fried Chicken Circuit."
Those course up north west of Jackson were like you described. Etched in my brain....![]()
