Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Vols +170 underdog in today's game. They must think we've used up all our pitchers and spent all our allotted hits for the weekend. . .

I really thought it'd be closer to +300 (for the non-degenrates in here, that means we'd be bigger underdogs), considering tu's rank, sweep probability, pitching questions, etc.

👀😅 this isn’t vandy campus no more weirdo🤣

That's a powder keg that unfortunately wont yield clairvoyance until the ball drops all way to the bottom of the barrel. Only then will he learn that life doesn't care one dick about you once you're done. I hope he doesn't. But, football or no, the narcissistic, gun slinger 'I can have anything' attitude will land you with nothing. He'll be selling insurance to Vandy students if he keeps this up.

Let’s get the sweep today, BaseVols! That would definitely seal a postseason bid, and maybe put us in position if we can win the series next weekend to sneak in and host a regional.

Btw, how in the world is Coastal Carolina ranked 8 or 9 with basically the same record as us, but playing in a MUCH weaker conference? I don’t get it.
If we do not host I hope we get in their regional and kick their azzes.

Hot Take of the Summer:

@peaygolf lands his first Hole-In-One in the next 50days. It happens on a warm, slightly overcast day. . . a summer day like any other. He does it on a par 3, after he's talked into trying a new 5 hybrid a teammate in his group recently bought. . . a club/brand he has always disliked and swore he'd never use.

He takes his shot, then searches the green and surrounding area, eventually believing he somehow lost his ball. It isn't until a teammate putts in and finds a 2nd ball in the hole that he realizes he hit a hole in one.

His emotions make him relatable with recruits and fans. He was perfect for college. Those same emotions caused him to leave a perfect situation and don’t work with professional athletes and coaches after a few months.

Just a massive fail for Tony and I think he knows it.

You go when you get your shot. All things being equal. Only hind sight can show you made a mistake. You will always think 'what if'? He really had nothing left to prove here but legacy. Would have loved to see DW make an investment, but he didnt:

Whoever gets the v.2 of Tony will get a dynasty. Get a motivated, hungry winner. And make them taste defeat.

Vitello is learning that the MLB is a totally different beast, from the dugout, the fanbase and the front office. In College the kids say yes sir, no Sir, in MLB there's many different egos in that dugout and they know you will be let go before them.

Maybe Vitello could come back and be Elander’s 3rd base coach.
