Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I just realized something: If Chris Cornell sang for RHCP and Anthony Keidis sang for Soundgarden and Audioslave, nobody would know Black Hole Sun, RHCP would be a top 5 band all-time, and Chris probably wouldn't have k*lled himself.

You have good music taste. I have Playlists with soundgarden/audioslave, Alice in Chains/mad season, RHCP, TOOL, Deftones, RAGE, Pearl Jam,.Nirvana, STP, etc that I listen to all the time especially on my bike. 90s grunge/metal is my favorite genre by a mile.

Unfortunately the lead singers of:

Nirvana
AiC/Mad season
Soundgarden/audioslave
STP

Are all dead from overdose or suicide. I consider Layne Staley and Chris Cornell both top5 all time rock vocalists. Theres absolutely nobody on Earth that can sound like either one of them. Their respective guitarists, Jerry Cantrell and Tom Morello (also of RAGE) are both amazing as well. It is truly insane how much great talent and music came out of Seattle in the 90s. There was a time circa 1990 when most of the bands listed above were all playing clubs in Seattle every weekend dirt cheap. LA also had TOOL, RAGE, and RHCP at the same time which is crazy too.

Suck it ham sammich and Go Vols!

Got to take the money pit out today and catch some fish. This is a $320 fish. Why is this a $320 fish you ask? Because I caught this fish after doing a temporary field repair on my money pit engine and kept fishing. The required replacement part is $320

Looks like a good fishing spot too. Got those trees growing up and into the water making cover and shade. Nice man. Thats a Purdy fish you have there also.

She didn’t have any eggs but she did have some girth to her. So probably post spawn already fattened back up. I didn’t grab the scales but we are guessing 4.5 to 5 lbs. caught on Lake Lavon which is the closest lake to my house. And that is the largest bass I’ve seen IRL taken on that lake. I have seen bigger in photos but that’s the biggest one I’ve personally seen up close. Lavon has too many people on it so a lot of fishing pressure. A 5 lb bass is a really nice catch on that lake.

Im easy. A 5lb bass is a really nice catch anywhere to me. That thing probably fought like a trophy swordfish. Crazy how hard they can fight and pull to be less than 10lbs. Most fun I have ever had fishing was when my little brother (RIP) went fishing with my son and I. He put us on a bunch of bass with scented worms, and I was slaying them with a frog popper on top water. They couldn't stand the sound of it I guess...they would hit that popper so hard the whole fish would almost come out of the water. We fished til dark and left before passing out from blood loss due to skeeters. My favorite memory of my little brother. My son talks about it any time fishing is brought up too.

I’m not gonna lie. I’m enjoying this series.
We smacking them out the yard like they were pitching BP for us. Fun to watch. They just said when we hit 100homers this year (96 now?) We will be the first school in SEC history to hit 100 five straight years. Nobody would have said a month ago this team would get there again. 36blasts in the last 12games. GBO

Clean up, top up and filter changes on the Accord today. Bottom photo is the ECM Muzzle I just installed which will keep the engine from ever idling a couple cylinders when parked or on the highway. It keeps all 6 of them working now all the time. Its supposed to extend the longevity of the engine and transmission as well as not consume oil...which they do apparently when cylinders are shut down. It also gets rid of the half second hesitation that happens on the highway when you push the accelerator to pass someone etc. Works great so far and was only $30 for the adjustable device.

I was having heart palpitations when we started bunting, we don’t freeking bunt! But as my beloved pointed out, I’m often wrong.

This girl is smart. She was also quietly the best pitcher in the SEC, as the team and media laid all their accolades on senior phenom Pickens. Pickens is an amazing pitcher and deserves her due, but her successor was quietly the best pitcher on the team and in the conference if you watched much LadyVols ball this year. I watch the 10m highlight reels from youtube with my daughter.

Chris Brazzell reveals his true feelings on Tennessee's offense and addresses the maturity questions he faced before the draft - Yahoo Sports https://share.google/Z13nSfUVkp5sJhYZq

Read what he has to say about our offense. Tired of the myth that we dont run a complete route tree at UT. The same route tree that exists in HS is unchanged in college or the NFL. Its not rocket science. Theres not even a dozen different routes. Lazy national media guys yapping about UTs offense which is quite prolific are just that: lazy. Our offense evolves year to year with new formations and route concepts.

Been saying the same. WRs run the tree starting in 7 v 7 in middle school. It’s really an overused theme and more of a basis to learn.if you look at for example a Cooper Kupp route analysis after a 12 catch for 150 yard game before the trade or Justin Jefferson, it looks nothing like the tree. Looks more like trees after a hurricane

The only route from the tree in either of those diagrams is a curl route. Even the deep route looks more like a "sluggo" (slant and go) than a true post route. From Kupp who has consistently been a top5, 100+ catch WR for years. Our WRs run all kinds of routes from several different distinct formations and are plenty prepared for the NFL...or we wouldnt consistently land these high 4* and 5* receivers like we do. We just need 1 of these WRs that gets drafted to put up big numbers in the NFL for this myth to finally die IMO. Long overdue.

Jury duty this AM. After a not productive weekend.

Lawnmower wouldn't start. Took things apart and after poking around like I have ever looked at an engine before, decided it was the spark plug and carburetor. Replaced the spark plug and it would start but not keep running. After cleaning the carb it would run but was contantly throttling up and down and not cut. Not sure what else to do, and dont want to take it to some shop to pay more than its worth to fix. Cut the visible parts of the yard with the weedeater, and need a new lawnmower.

We did book more of our Ireland trip at least

RHCP would have been worse with Chris as the lead singer and soundgarden would be better with AK in this hypothetical scenario. Audioslave sucked
Really? I liked Audioslave. Chris singing BTW (whole album) would be sick, same with BSSM. Not Californication though. AK singing Superunknown would sound weird, and Badmotorfinger would be okay.
