JJ is a Viking

Niners shoulda found a way to keep him. But, maybe he just needed a fresh change.

I don't dislike the Vikings. I have fond memories of back when they had Tarkenton, Bill Brown, Eller & Page, and they would upset the Packers, the team of my bandwagon neighbors. 😆
The Niners didn't want to pay him, and they left him no choice but to leave.

How could you discern how I was saying it? I have no indication that it would be bad or good, just that it will happen. He's gonna hate playing with that dude. Odd choice. I thought there would be a decent chance he'd come home and that he'd be a great fit with the Titans. I also thought KC would be good for him, and them.
KC didn't need a possession receiver

Don't get your panties in a wad, the first part of my comment was kind of a joke.

I've stood within 3 feet of Kyler Murray-Plano/Allen (where he is from) is just not that big-and neither is he ha ha. I was 5'11" on a good day in my prime. I'm an old man now and have presumably shrunk a bit

Dude barely came to my eyeballs lol.

Kind of stinks for JJ to just get a one year deal because at 29 (when season begins), its going to be year to year contracts
Im totally speculating, but it’s also no secret that he’s not exactly popular in the league. Im guessing quite a few players, maybe coaches, didn't want him on their team. Again, total guess, and I know players usually will take whoever can help them win, but I just wonder if the way he’s acted contributed.

Of course it's a factor

NOT a good decision by JJ, IMO. Minnesota doesn't have a QB. WHY go to a team with no QB if the money is close. He should've gone to Washington and been with McLauren and Daniels. Minn QB sucks and he aint gonna get much better. And the backup is a midget who sucks as well. Hell... I'd rather have Mariotta throwing to me than Murray.

I disagree. McCarthy will be the backup unless Kyler is hurt. I think Kyler is a borderline good QB who has played for some talentless Arizona teams. He could have a resurgence like Darnold with the offensive mastermind, Kevin O'Connell.

I think it's only bad if he wanted to be a #1 receiver. I think he was shooting for a multi year deal that looked like it never materialized.

I would've liked to see him go to a team to be a high volume #2/fringe #1 receiver such as the Patriots, Titans, Colts, Raiders, etc.

I believe this to be the case

The problem is that he isn't a high volume #2 or a fringe #1, which is exactly why no team in the league is going to sign him as that

"The Purple People Eaters" I remember them well. Tarkenton was born in the wrong generation. Imagine what he could have done in a RPO offense. The Vikings wasn't my favorite team but I did like Tarkenton's swagger.

I don't pay a lot of attention to the SF football scoop, but what has JJ done to make him "unpopular"? I haven't read or heard anyone complain about his attitude, etc. Could you elaborate? Enquiring minds and all.
