They’ve completely terrorized my front yard. Like half of it is dead now

I will probably sound like a full blown idiot but I guess I struggle determining which tunnels are active? I have quite a few

My pit bull has caught 3 in the back yard herself but I hardly have any damage in backyard so confused how that even happened
Curious if your front yard connects to a crop field? I’m surrounded by crop fields and once planting begins, they move from the fields into my yard to tear up everything.

My dad has always used the mole ‘traps’ that go in a run…stomp down the runs and check daily to see which are active. Once you find an active one, push in the trap and load it. Basically, once the mole comes through again, it pushes up the ground and triggers a pressure plate. The ‘trap’ engages and it’ll gig the mole. Dig up the engaged trap, dispose of dead mole.

I think dad’s best annual record was 27. He’s in his 80’s and it gives him something to do. He enjoys the ‘hunt’ since he can’t hunt anymore.

Do what CABOL posted on the tunnels. Use traps for that. Use granular insecticide to get rid of their food source. I used Ortho when we had them. I also dropped some bait into the tunnels before I stomped them down to attract them toward the traps.

Pesky, ugly little devils.

We got a terrier who ended up being a regular savant at catching them and that was that.

Anybody got any recommendations on mole extermination?
First, get rid of the grubs in your yard. Then hire an exterminator that will pump smoke into their tunnels, and then have them come back with poison grubs anytime you see activity. And then pray that your neighbors do the same.

Happy Wednesday

Scripture — Gospel of John 20:29 (NIV)
“Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”

Reflection:
This moment comes after the resurrection. Thomas had wrestled with doubt. He had heard the reports, listened to the others, and still said he needed to see the wounds for himself.
And Jesus met him there.

Not with shame. Not with distance. With truth.
Then Jesus expands the moment beyond Thomas… all the way to us.
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Most of faith is lived there.
Not after every answer.
Not after every outcome makes sense.
Not after every prayer is visibly fulfilled.
But in the space between promise and proof.

Faith is not pretending questions don’t exist. It’s choosing to trust the character of God even when the evidence hasn’t fully unfolded in front of you yet.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that faith is not reserved for those who see everything clearly. Thank You that You bless those who trust You in the waiting, in the questions, and in the unseen places. When I want visible proof before I move, remind me of Your character. Help me build confidence not only on what I can see, but on who You have always been. Strengthen my faith in the quiet seasons, and teach me to walk with steady trust even before the answers come. Amen.
Amen

I'm no expert but I've had them from time to time. They feed on grub worms alot. I was told that if you treat your lawn for insects, they'll move on. I used a granular treatment and it worked. @SoilVol I'm sure would be a great source. @Rishvol may be of some help too.
What's wrong with you? You actually hand him a serious answer.

Attract a snek is my answer

It doesn’t and from appearance, my neighbors don’t get the moles either. It seems I’m the lucky one

Will try that out for sure

We did use this. My guess is that’s why my pit has caught 3. Maybe this gets em out of the ground? Not sure.

I did just get a call from the lady saying the pit now has another dead animal in its mouth so can’t wait to see when I get home lol

If my neighbors have moles, they sure as hell haven’t killed their grass like they have mine 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
