They have a prequel comic series going for it too. Only on issue two, but my 8yo son is paying close attention to it. He knew it came out Wednesday, and that morning, before I left for work, he asked if I’d pick it up for him.Visually stunning. Interesting underworld story developing. I think this is what people really wanted out of the Boba Fett show.
Agreed. I love it. Some of it feels like the textured look of McQuarrie’s paintings - similar palette shows up on occasion too. It’s been great.Maul has been top notch.
Was a bit of a slow burn developing a bunch of new characters but it really picked with these last few episodes. The action has been incredible. I was really impressed with high speed chase scene.
It’s impressive how far the animation has come. It’s still fits the tone of Clone Wars but it’s so textured now. I did see a thing about a lot of the back grounds being hand painted.
Conservative humor continues to un-impress.
There IS a generation that loved the prequels. However they were little kids at the time and didnt bitch in chat rooms like adult star wars fans did at the time. Also I love the retconning about the reaction to the prequels. Ep 1 and 2 were both royally crapped on for years, and to be honest people liked Ep 3 but people still criticized the acting and too much CGI.
That's not a defense of Ep 7-9 but acting like everyone liked the prequels is some big time revisionist history.
And even E3 is was only lauded for its 3rd act. Also I love the retconning about the reaction to the prequels. Ep 1 and 2 were both royally crapped on for years, and to be honest people liked Ep 3 but people still criticized the acting and too much CGI.

I will defend the prequels having a singular through line for the trilogy even if the final product is a bit of a mess. They are still entertaining to watch. I agree the Clone Wars fleshed them out but I would also argue you shouldn’t need a 7 season show for your movie trilogy to make sense. Here's what I have always said about the prequels. They're not very good movies. However they are chock full of great ideas and characters that have been better realized in other stories, such as The Clone Wars animated series, Rebels, Bad Batch, etc.
For as much grief as Lucas has been given, I would still rather have Star Wars movies that are made from a creative with an actual vision and not something cobbled together by committee in a boardroom! Lucas is an ideas man. He's not a great director, nor is he good at writing dialogue. But he's damn great at world and character building!

The sequels failed at that singular through line with their experiment of 3 different writer/directors (eventually going back to 2). I still find 7-8 entertaining but the backsliding and “safe” decisions of 9 just ruined the whole thing. Can it be salvaged with some more content the way CW did for the prequels? IDK… remains to be seen. I don’t see why not.
That said, I’ve enjoyed most of the live action shows more than the prequels. The Andor/Rouge One combo is perfect for the more grown up deep dive into the politics of the the galaxy, Skeleton Crew was like 80s nostalgia and just pure fun. The Mando timeline has been a great follow up to the events following RotJ.
But the animated stuff is really the cream of the crop IMO. The last arc of CW Season 7 and The Maul show are some of the best content from SW since the OT
Overall I would say the majority of the content Disney has produced is at least as good as the prequels. Some better. And a few pretty bad.
