Sorry I am late

Scripture — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
“Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Reflection:
This verse is not a suggestion to become passive. It’s an invitation to stop carrying things that were never yours to control.
“Be still…”
In the original sense, this carries the idea of letting go… loosening your grip… releasing striving.
God is not asking you to stop caring.
He’s asking you to remember who is actually holding the bigger picture.
Some battles are won through effort.
Others are won through surrender.
Wisdom is knowing which one you’re standing in.
Today may not require more force.
It may require more trust.
And trust often sounds quieter than ambition.
When you become still before God, you’re not falling behind.
You’re realigning with the One who was already ahead.
Prayer:
Lord, quiet the parts of me that feel responsible for holding everything together. Where my mind races toward solutions, outcomes, and control, teach me the strength of stillness. Help me loosen my grip on what belongs in Your hands. Give me wisdom to work faithfully where You’ve called me to act, and peace to surrender what only You can carry. Today, let my confidence come not from movement, but from knowing You are God. Amen.
