speaking of a lot to learn, the nation of Cyprus is not part of NATO.

My point is you’re suggesting that because Russia can withstand long term economic sanctions and warfare that Iran may be able to also.

But unlike Russia, Iran is not still able to export fossil fuels. That’s a massive difference

Sounds like a great place. Sell your home and move out there.

If we didn’t have 1.12 million abortions here a year, the stats wouldn’t look so bad. 3.6m born / 1.12m murdered.

The differences are literally 1-2 per 1,000.

Gun violence will always be an issue until we start holding liberal judge accountable for letting animals out of prison.

Education is amazing in America, parenting is terrible. We do have some of the most apathetic parents you’ll ever find here in America. The effort to place an importance on education isn’t near what it used to be.

Yeah America is the only country with liberal justices and apathetic parents. So you started out with America is the best, then when you’re reminded that it’s not the excuse making starts?

If we maintain the blockade long enough I am sure Iran will buckle. the question, that goes back to our previous conversation, is how long will it take. Not sure when a "forever" blockade label will appropriately apply; but I doubt Iran really folds in a few weeks/months.

I also have no doubt that Trump will sell whatever peace deal ends up being signed, if its by him, as the best possible deal and a sign that Iran folded; regardless of how little it changes things.

Wrong again. There are both U.S. and British bases on Cypress. So the Iranians were attacking 2 NATO countries.

Quality of life is subjective, hence why I said arguably. But it’s well documented that Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, UK, France, Japan etc, have equal if not better living standards than the average American.

I do think America is objectively one of the best places in the world if you are rich. But being poor in America is certainly much worse here than it is any many of those countries.

All I’m trying to say is that most people from developed countries aren’t begging to come here.

I also don’t think people realize how terrible our reputation on gun violence is. I’ve encountered many Europeans who refuse to visit let alone live for that reason more than anything else. How we view Brazil is how they view us from their perspective when it comes to crime.

wtf does a dumbass parent have to do with America being great? You can down America with any statistic you like. Overall, you poll every single living human being in the world, the vast majority would give everything they have to live here.

America is still the greatest Country on this Planet. Sorry your TikTok slop tells you otherwise.

If you’re convinced they can’t hold out for an extended period of time (I agree), why are you not convinced the deal would be worth agreeing to and a result of Iran folding?

US bases don't count for Artilce 5 bc we are the aggressors
British bases don't count bc England hasn't asked for it
Furthermore military bases outside of a member nations territorial zone isn't covered either. End result is you feel you were attacked you have to pettion and ask for it to be invoked. Each country decides if request meets the standard in treaty.

Your argument is terrible and flawed.

NATO nations that have bases on non NATO territory are not covered under article 5 but they are under article 4.

If a base outside the designated areas is attacked, NATO members can still invoke Article 4 for consultation, and allies can still choose to respond collectively if they choose, as Article 5 actions are not automatic and depend on the consensus of member nations.

Is Korea a NATO country? One of their first actions was in Korea under the banner of the UN. It actually set the precedent and solidified NATO.
