Night Owls/Insomniacs Thread Part IV

Sometimes, I will sleep soundly for 5 or 6 hours, something will wake me, and I cannot fall back to sleep. One would think that the old would sleep better for more hours.

My schedule is so screwed up I'm eating supper at 6 AM. Breakfast at 3 PM. Lunch at 9 PM. I'm 60 and only have a few more years of this, I hope. I'm not the whippersnapper I use to be.

As we age we reportedly get less REM sleep which is the truly restful and restorative sleep. My theory is we realize our time on this rock is shortening and we intuitively know we have less time to complete our tasks thus requiring us to not be wasting time sleeping.
