Lindsey Nelson Stadium,

Ditto on most of the comments on here concerning PA folks and scoreboard issues. It really makes us come off as not being serious baseball people. The folks right around me just laugh now, and shake our heads. So unprofessional to have all the assets we do, yet make us look like a laughingstock to some of our visiting SEC brethren.
There was a pause last weekend. Cannot remember the reason but the fans started chanting GO Big Orange but the digital noise was automatic and essentially shut it down. It just isn't connecting.

The same guy was leading the chants in Dallas this year.

The two fan MVPs- The older fellow you all are talking about that starts the GBO cheers in the MVPs, and there's a young-ish guy roughly in the center of the first row right behind the home dugout that the players love because he's always trying to get noise going with them.

I wish those two guys could get some recognition, they try to keep the flame burning in there.

Yes, those two are great. There are others that try, but there’s just no cohesion in the stadium now. It feels awkward at times. As someone else said, there’s too much “gettin’ up and moving around” most of the time. It really is hard to sit and watch and cheer because there’s so many people going to buy two fists full of beer, etc a portion of the game, then the next portion they’re getting up to pee constantly.

My section are folks who are older (well-seasoned), but who cheer hard. We watch and are invested in the game. I don’t know what the answers are. It’s all become complicated.

DW should do what we do in corporate America when there is a problem to be solved and we don't want our own name on the line if it goes south - hire an uber-expensive consulting firm to come in, take his watch, and tell him what time it is.

Seriously, it's kind of sad seeing y'all describe a lifeless atmosphere in LNS. I mean, not saying you're wrong - it feels pretty lifeless coming through my screen as I watch. But I was hoping that wasn't an accurate portrayal.

Anybody else notice the tickets for this weekend have Fri., Sat. and Sun. printed on them??? I hope this does not cause an issue getting in tonight. I only brought my "Friday" tickets. I think the schedule changed after printing, but this might be an issue.....hope not.

All these descriptions are exactly what happens when you have a pinhead bean counter AD that’s beyond tone deaf! He and they have ZERO sense or understanding of nuance in sport!

I encourage everyone to write Randy Boyd and Donde Plowman directly- that’s how necessary improvements will be made!

I’m just not a fan of the stadium. I hate all the exposed brick where there should be seats, which goes back to the early 90s design. Same company obviously did the N upper deck in Neyland as it looks very similar.

The upper deck at LNS does tie it together somewhat but it still looks chopped up, IMO.

I think it looks pretty darn good, overall. Some love it, some hate it, and some are in-between. Just verifies the fact that you can’t please everyone all of the time.

Plenty of times last night where the crowd was ready to go and the team sucked it right out of them. The students all bailed around the 5th inning. Baseball just isn’t a stand for 3 hours sport. They need to get those cattle shutes out and some bleachers in.

Empty seats combined with free bases sure dont help an atmosphere either. I’m sure once we start winning again the atmosphere will be back.

I do feel like the students being so far away hurt though, maybe let them fill empty seats starting in the 3/4th inning

I wrote the administration with design suggestions to minimize or eliminate the excess brick, open gaps, and seating configuration. None of those concepts were done. But if you built a completely new stadium the design flaws of LNS (old and new) would’ve been eliminated. They’re a bunch of clowns!

That’s not a bad idea.

It’s totally accurate from my perspective (also watching on TV).

The difference from the past 5-6 years is obvious and disappointing. It feels like they’ve told people, especially students, not to have fun anymore. I don’t know that I’ve heard a good heckling all year.

There's nothing wrong with the stadium. It's great actually.,

When the team is good, the SRO student section will be a hornet's nest.

I suspect after this season, more local people who care about Tennessee baseball will be able to get tickets. The Nashville and other out-of-area fans will surely not keep buying seats they rarely use. Maybe schmucks like me will be able to get season tickets - and still pay exactly the same amount as the current owners pay.

I looked around last night and the stadium itself is great. In fact, I would call it unique. The designed squeezed a lot into a tiny footprint and its kind of a throwback to the now gone urban stadiums.

Bottom of the 4th. Let 'em have it. Make that place crazy again!

Most big time programs have their students behind the outfield.

If they could close the street and put seating out there, I bet it would be student seats.

I like the setup.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if ticket prices were either frozen for a couple of years or came down; it would allow the locals to come to more games - as opposed to tourist-y out of towners like myself - and would promote a regrowth of the "hornet's nest" vibe that started in 2021 and peaked in 2024.

Show me another baseball stadium that looks as chopped up.

Danny froze season tickets prices this year after steep increases over past 5 years.
PS. Some out of towners make it to most weekend games. FWIW, I do and live in ATL. I knew a couple from Indiana who drove down for every weekend series.
