2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

The budget has felt rather open-ended based on who we are landing and still pursuing, but I digress. Like I said, if we are now watching the bottom-line, then give me Lue. I'm not really willing to bang the table and stand up in preference of Hastings.
Not looking to back and forth it, our board has stayed pretty much the same, we were never getting both Ament & Juke, just not sure I see some wildly changing budget.

Agreed, but lack of rebounding production in a mid major conference bothers me. Especially given that area was already one of this rosters weaknesses imo.

Rebounds per 40 min
Lue - 7.9
Okpara - 9.4
Rubin -9.5
Brown - 9.7
Estrella - 11.8
Carey - 13.0
Im not following how you say rebounding was a weakness. We were top 2 in the SEC.

I never said the budget had wildly changed, nor did I ever say (or believe) we were getting both Juke and Ament.

It's just seemed that in this cycle we have been given access to money to go get the rights guys. Stoerner has kind of hinted at money not being an obstacle. That is what I meant by the budget being open-ended. Tanner was going to cost big money. Ament, if he returned, was going to cost big money. Juke is going to cost big money. Hill and Haralson likely weren't cheap.

And if we don’t count rebounding your own bunny misses?

Tanner never entered, was that even ultimately legit? As I said, I never saw Ament and Juke here, so to me they likely had money for 1/3. I think we had by far the highest budget we’ve had so far, and yes it allowed us some good players, but I don’t think it was essentially a blank check or you would’ve seen them target guys other than Rubin and Lue in the post. There’s a reason I kept making fun of @Legion of Doom of doom when he was saying we’ve got $13m or whatever and to go and get Thiam & Diop now, wasn’t reality.

Rick has never been bothered by players declaring for the draft to get feedback. We have had several guys do it. I see no reason Juke wouldn’t declare ? It means nothing except waiting time for us and Michigan and anyone else that might jump In. It is not like he won’t have a big payday In college .
