2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

I haven’t done a deep dive on rosters but just off the top of my head I would have at least Florida, Duke, Michigan, and UConn above us. Maybe Texas. I think Top 10 sounds right if we only add one of those two.
No issue with any of those, I think we’d be better than Texas with 1 of those guys added, assuming Swain is gone to NBA.

Curious what 9 teams you’d have above Tennessee…?
Top 10 doesn’t mean precisely #10. It means anywhere from 5ish to 10ish. In general I think that’s the caliber of squad that would be. I think it would be just a notch below Florida, Michigan, Duke, UCONN. Need to land both Juke and Ament to be up there with those guys imo.

FWIW I’m not nearly as high on Florida as many if Aberdeen doesn’t get his waiver, which, why should he?

Not speaking for OP, but I’d probably have Florida, Michigan, Duke, and Illinois as the FF in that scenario, and then us in the same tier as UConn, Arizona, Arkansas, Michigan State, and maybe Texas. We would be somewhere in that group, possibly 5, possibly 10.

That's not quite what I expected. Not the block machine or size we've been talking about. Maybe he's long. Just need someone to spell Rubin and eat fouls honestly.
Miles Rubin is the definition of a block machine. Did you miss him? Has been top 20 in blocks per game for the last 3 years. I'm pretty sure he led the league 2 years ago. Scored more ppg than Carey, Estrella, and Okpara also

Yea dude I didn't. Read my following posts complimenting Rubin and take your hall monitor badge elsewhere.

Also not sure where you thought a slight of Rubin was in there. I literally mention spelling him. Reading comprehension.

I’m just going by Vegas odds honestly.

I will say Haralson is the X-factor in my mind. He is the one guy besides Juke where I could see the potential for him to take his game to an elite level.

I want to be clear that I’m happy with the portal class, but unless we sign both Juke and Ament I am just concerned about the lack of depth in the front court and that’s going to keep me from thinking the roster is well-rounded enough to be a Top 5 team and in that national title tier.

I like the Ames pick up but I’m not as high on him as some and I just have questions about Rubin translating to the P4. We’ll see. Good haul regardless.

Buddy wants 3 block machines in a year when centers are being widely overpaid. Where's the money coming from, Tucke. I'm not being a hall monitor by providing context for why we don't need another top dollar "block machine". We literally already have one

It all likely hinges on getting back 1 of Ament/Juke…they aren’t likely to add any big time pieces outside that, and they’ll wait around on those guys, if they miss on both it’ll likely be awhile and not many big time fallback options would be available. The pieces are in place assuming some depth bigs indeed are added that you’ve likely got another Top 15 team, but to jump up into that Top 6-10 range you’re gonna have to land 1 of Juke/Ament.
You nailed it .As things stand now assuming a couple of average bigs (fouls to give guys) we will have an interesting and probably top 15-20 type team depending on how the players mesh and Rick adjust to doing things differently . Juke or Nate gets us to top 10. I think Rick deserves the chance to try something different and fans have been clamoring for more offense for years . He is a perfectionist . How he handles a very likely drop off in physicality and intensity on the defensive side will be an interesting side story to next year’s season.

My bad man. On this team? Give me Ament. The potential growth and ability to slide up and play the 4 is too enticing, but it's close. Juke is a hell of a player.
Why not both? Ive saw where we lead for Juke and Nate's choice is split. Maybe the basketball gods will give CRB both

Sounds great hall monitor. Once again find the critique I made of Rubin. Just thought we'd be looking at a bigger body with more blocks. We aren't, no biggie, other guy is bouncy and athletic. Go cry somewhere else.
