They've brought in a couple decent players, including a nice piece for their backcourt. Yeah...

Dak & Glass are both good adds...but doesn't seem like enough at this point. Who knows, Tanner as well as Anderson from Texas Tech both have likely got a very long list of top schools that will make them the highest paid PG in college.

I want to be crystal clear that Barnes has never told a kid to come back if he believes the best choice is to move on. The draft consultants that Ament has believe he has a higher chance to ascend against projections than slip. They have said the best guess is he will be 12-14, the floor is 18 and the ceiling could be as high as eighth. That describes a kid that should enter the draft. There is still some question about his physical maturity, and lack of aggression, but it is almost impossible to pass on a kid who is that tall who has those skills. I just can't get hopeful about this. Here is my back the napkin odds list-- Juke 60-75% good guys. Tanner 33% chance he enters, 90% ours if he does. Ament 25% comes back. This would be much closer to zero, but he is having the meeting and his family loves CRB. I would have dumped Tanner's odds over the weekend, but there is continued smoke. We have other plans in motion. This is a great class foundation, and I feel good we'll get to the other side with a roster that can go far. I just don't know exactly how that shakes out. I love pickups so far. These are predominantly very athletic, hoop aggressive players with a solid handle and shooting ability. I think the three H combo would be the most solid diverse portal signees we've ever had, as a group. I love Haralson's fire, and I saw Hill play twice last year. He has a first step that is elite, much more lift than Jakobi, and sees the court two moves ahead. He's going to be very good. Lundblade is a bit of a Hoosier, but a true weapon nonetheless. Barnes did not like the trees in the lane last year. He much prefers mobility and fire in bigs. Felix was a dream player for him. Brown has proven to be a very quick learner and sees the court better than the average big. It's a roster I wouldn't want to play, and we aren't done. I think we'll continue to get clarity in incremental doses. The first shot comes today. Lots of reason to be hopeful about the roster, but we don't know all the parts yet.

Better to pull some ambiguity out of your pants than use actual words that apply to a sport. The kid isn't Wiley Coyote. I've played, watched and coached a lot of basketball over some decades. I've not heard anyone not connected to a bong call a player "crafty". Up close, Hill is something I'd refer to as "athletic". I'm sorry that won't get him under an Acme electric fence, but the kid can move, handle the ball, get past defenders to the goal and shoot. His has elite lift and a very graceful motion. If you want to roll up some D&D characters, feel free to make one "crafty", or maybe you meant he'd be apt at making a leather belt or an ashtray at camp. My position is that Hill is an athlete. Full stop. F'n A. This place can be an intellectual swamp.

By your assessment, is Hill "crafty" enough to dodge an obviously placed hanging anvil before it falls on his head turning him into a human accordion (with the associated sound effect)?

Jokes aside, I agree with your assessment and glad you are using specific language other than "crafty" lol

Thank you, glad someone said it, he’s quickly become one of my least favorite posters. Early in the portal he presented himself as an insider with all these definitive statements, now he just is admittedly not an insider but still making definitive claims and statements that are typically pretty off base.

I think Ja'Kobi is quicker than Hill, but being athletic doesn't mean you're the quickest or fastest always.

The last time I was in Detroit, I stayed at the JW Marriott. When checking in, the desk clerk advised me that when I leave the building, "don't walk right or left, go directly to the taxi".

Sounds like you listening to every word. I don’t blame you, because he’s been spit on. I can’t tell you the number of fakes that listen to his show and then immediately run to social media to post “updates” as if they are in the know.

My experience on this forum is that people are polarizing and annoying. So, you play the hand you’re dealt.

LOL.. Just curious how old are you?

The point is that Hill uses his feel for the game, ball handling, and footwork to score moreso than just blowing by people and jumping over them.

That is what crafty means. Just FYI.

This has to be Tony's burner. Looked back at Local Yokel's first post and it was defending Tony (himself). Tons of post just defending himself. Hell even the name Local Yokel sounds like something he'd say lol.
