Found them. Unfortunately they're turkeys.

Wrens are known to eject infertile, damaged, or non-viable eggs.

Pretty sure this is where @Weezer came from...although maybe not from a wren....some alien humanoid species ejected a damaged birthing pod on their way past earth and now we are stuck with him.

Pussums love roadkill...but they are dumb, which is why they are very often roadkill themselves.
