Also Elander has been talking about it nonstop during pressers - the approach being taught as a team isn’t the issue.

They’re not supposed to be all swinging for the fences and look pull-happy. The players aren’t implementing the approach at the plate.

Ultimately falls on Elander for not being able to get through to them bc that’s his job. But he’s not teaching them to swing for the fences.

And agree, Levi is broken, at least for this season. Whenever Stone can return I would sit Levi again personally. Work him in here and there.
Then put them on the bench. As the head coach he has that prerogative.

That project sprang up as a requirement to keep the coach that won us a Nat. Those extra seats were absolutely crucial in keeping up with lead dogs in the SEC. People talk about facilities not being important but when you were that behind, you were a joke.

What DW did in that short a time frame is nothing short of amazing. This record has nothing to do with the facilities. The team sucks bc the offense isnt good. What invol said will happen.
I agree with this but that is why they will not have patience. You have to fill up the new palace you spent $110 million building.

Oh, I think what Invol mentioned is already in the works. You canNOT trot this product out there, with investment donors have made, and expect further investment. Rich people didnt get that way bc they were making bad decisions. I have zero skin in the game and Im already tuning out. Imagine if you paid some of these kids salaries. Elander has a lot to figure out, cause they arent good. Worse their demeanor, heads hanging, no juice. Not good.

More than anything Vitello was the juice. He was literally the program. The aura. That’s why he needed to be retained at all costs.

He left on his own. Reno’d the park for him. Top 3, maybe #1 in spending on baseball. Became the highest paid coach after winning the NC.

He was awesome. I still like him. But he left the program in a bad spot leaving in October and taking key staff with him.

I do think he deserves time and hope he figures it out. Just seems like they refuse to alter the approach at the plate when it's obvious that the current approach is not going to work with this team. Need to try and go opposite field and just get some singles versus swinging for the fence every at bat. Some times you need to alter your approach and take a pitch or two. Play a little small ball. Just try something different.
They did that at Doodie Noble.

I saw on Facebook someone trying to sell their tix for today's game. 2 @$60 ea. I wouldn't give $20/piece to watch this level of baseball. I was going to try and go to a mid week game because they are cheaper but really not motivated for that any longer.

I wouldnt give $1. But i'm also not an alumni, live 2 hours away, and i'm just too busy. Did pay $30 to extend ESPN for 30 days.

I would go to every game but I just don't like being around a group of people... they get on my nerves.
There are few venues I would go to these days. Honestly, Lindsay Nelson, Freedom Hall, and Greene Stadium are some of the best. Crowds are very mild mannered. Good seating. And my kids and I can spread out.

If Vols were worth watching, Id make plans to go. But they arent.
