Just suggesting that the portal COULD evolve more and multi-year deals become a thing.
No... not saying I think they will...just saying that it is possible that the trend could becomes more frequent.

I had not heard of signing bonused in college till this year either!!!

Freeman makes some sense if the staff view Ames and Hill as 1s, Juke as a 2, and Haralson as a 3/4. In that situation, they are set at 1 and could use another 4 and could grab two 5s.

Oh okay ... and i think the staff is moving like he isnt coming but the option is open incase he does ... and maybe they know he isnt and that could be why they started trynna get involved with freeman use that money on him 🤔 idk at this point just wait and see

Despite what anonymous posters say, the Vandy mods do not anticipate him leaving. Trilly Donovan said he didn't see him entering the portal. And, you know, with just a few days left, Tanner hasn't actually entered the portal.

In fact, he is being used in promotional videos and is currently liking IG posts from new Vandy players.

I think it would be smart to be extremely cautious on expecting to get Tanner at this point.

Whatever the situation is, I don't get any indication at all that Barnes has his hands tied waiting for Tanner.

I definitely didn’t say he’s coming. We have the best offer and best opportunity. His dad is a strong influence and would like him to stay. We’ve done everything we can and it’s a real shot, but it’s still in the fog.

We have enough slots right now that we’ll have one open until the portal closes. There’s nothing to wait for. If he enters the portal, he has a spot.

Why do you keep say "time is running out"? It's not like players need to start the process two weeks before the deadline to enter the portal in time. He could do it right at the deadline.
