I know we were playing a weaker opponent than most of the other SEC teams in week #1...but we are off to a great start:

#1 PPG
#1 Total Yards
#2 Passing Yards
#2 Rushing yards (Yes Vandy had 433 )
#1 First Downs
#1 3rd down percentage

I agree, this kid looks like a stud right now. Those 2 picks wasnt all his fault and he threw one more TD pass than he did all last year. His confidence his sky high right now and like you said, if he plays good next week he will be a beast all year!! And just to say, Florida and Vandy both played alot worse teams than we did!! GO VOLS!!

You know, you guys are just mentioning Charleston Southern and Western Carolina, but here is a list of the other opponents that SEC teams beat yesterday (I obviously won't include OK St because they won:

Miami (OH): 2-10 last year
Jackson State: An FCS team that lost to the likes of Hampton, TN State, and Grambling State last year
LA Tech: A decent mid-level team, but not a world beater by any stretch.
Missouri State: 4-7 last year with losses to Washburn (?) SD State, and ND State
Washington: 0-12 last year

Alabama is about the only team that played yesterday that beat a quality (although some say overrated) opponent. USC jr. barely scraped by a bad NC State team and looked awful doing it.

So yeah, we played a pushover, but so did most everyone else. Or, as stated above, they lost or looked bad winning.

After watching the Washington game last night, either they are vastly improved over last year, or LSU is highly overrated. I wouldn't be surprised to see UW win 6-7 games this year.

western kentucky is the worst team to play and sec team this week, the had 57 freshmen on an 80 something man roster, CSU would beat western kentucky

The first one was an awful decision. The guy that tipped it should have picked it. It was thrown to him. That being said, Crompton did look much better than he did at any point last year or during the spring game.

Who cares if it was Western Kentucky?? Just look at how we played inferior opponents(with the Fulmer regime) in the past and especially last year...Memphis in previous rears, and Northern Illinois and WYOMING last year!?!? Regardless of opponent, this was a MUCH improved Tennessee team. Next week we get a better idea of where we stand, but for a team to play as well as they did(considering the 2008 season) on Saturday, I am extremely pleased with the results!

Whatever you gotta say to make yourself feel better about your team. I know you're just scared because USCjr looked terrible against a mediocre ACC team, although you should be used to it by now.

You all win something significant, and then we might listen to you.
