Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

With the roster that Barnes is on the verge of putting together, it’s not to get over the Final 4 hump. It’s to compete for a championship.

He deserves every bit of UT going all in for him.
Those goals are interchangeable, if you think about it.

Didn't @MarcoVol give two examples of men's basketball teams that lost their entire rosters to the portal (because they fired a sitting coach) and that responded with an all-portal team with winning seasons the following year (i.e., this past year)? And better results than the previous year. I seem to remember that, but I can't find it.

Michigan won the  natty with a roster full of transfers.

The entire starting lineup! That is the best example. Strange no one has mentioned that in a certain forum. But there were some returning players on the team.

iirc Marco's example was a team (or two) who lost 100% of their rosters (all of them!) to the portal, and with an all-portal roster stem-to-stern improved over their previous year's results. Both examples are apt.

In the meantime, er-one over there is assailing our AD for supporting their program. 🤣 While they spend all their time tearing everything down, and creating a toxic site that works against portal acquisitions.

If that is the case!…F! the system
Happens every year, bruh. Also, in case you don't know, the "expert" TV talking heads (whose "insights" and predictions circulate on X) are either stupid or biased or on the take. The first two are no controversial afaik.
