I'm happy for Estrella that he is getting a lot of money. I have friends who are Michigan fans, and if they ask me about him, I'll speak highly of his character. But I wouldn't pay big money for someone with his track record. I hope it works out for him, as he's easy to root for.

College sports are just plain brutal now. The calculations teams must make are just...woof.

Not sure why anyone is saying “now that the Tanner dream is dying”. Nothing has changed there. We’re in his ear, he likes us, loves Barnes, UT was his first choice out of BA, we have $, but he’s still going through the combine and will make a decision after that. As of now

NBA combine is May 10-17th, even if we're going to wait he'll have to enter the portal before the window closes on April 21st.

I’d argue that they can afford to miss on him more than we can. Bigger risk for us. I also hope they have a great training staff.

So far I have yet to see any serious names that are at least equal replacements to JG, Ament and Okpara.

How about Leroy Blyden vs JG and Diop vs Okpara? I think both could be upgrades.
