I was glad in the second half when they started calling the hand checks at first because it relieved the ball pressure but then they started calling everything, haha. Total opposite of the first half

What a showing, that was a Barnes master class on the defensive end, what they did to Momcilovic was so freaking impressive, absolutely took him out of the game as we’ve seen Barnes teams do with elite shooter in the past, incredible plan. Shoutout to Carey, Burg & Boswell…at various time the fanbase (myself included) have been super critical of those guys, they were great tonight and pivotal in the victory. Carey played within himself and finished much better around the rim, and didn’t let the ball stick on him, Iowa State had absolutely zero answer for him. Boswell with 8 assists and just 1 turnover, this coming off a 9 assist and zero turnover game, moving Kobi off the ball in the tourney has been a great wrinkle and Boswell has done a tremendous job through 3 games, he was very good tonight with the ball in his hands against a team that is tough to do that against, big time kudos. Burg didn’t do much on the stat sheet, but his 1 turnover in 20 minutes was huge as well, allowed Kobi to stay off the ball in Boswell’s absence and for the most part he took care of it, also played some nice defense and clearly frustrated Lipsey at times.


Nobody expects us to win tomorrow, absolutely playing with house money, would’ve loved for the bracket to break wide open for us but if we’re going to make our first ever Final Four why not have to beat a 1, 2 & 3 seed our way there?!

Ain’t that the truth. The CBS commentators after the game basically penciled Michigan in to the Final Four immediately. Jamal Mashburn, the Kentucky player, said Michigan was going to overwhelm us.

I mean…..they are very good lol. We’ve had some truly ridiculous roads to face these past few years. One of the giants has to finally go down….right?
