China? And if the CA oil fields were pumping and the shutters CA refining units were to come back on on line, who could solve their energy shortage?

Ca. is going to fight against it. Lawfare to stop trump at all costs. Even things democrats have said they would do themselves.
Just as a bit of unrelated thought but it says a lot about the democrat party. When was the last election the democrat voters actually picked their presidential candidate. Hillary screwed Bernie with super delegates. Clyburn rescued biden from 3rd or 4th place , and nobody voted for kamala. They elected mamdani in n.y. They endorsed his warmth of collectivism. Hard to trust them on just this, let alone their history of proven lies and propaganda.

Trump can invoke the National Security act for strategic reserves and enough politicians pockets will get lined that there will be opposition posturing but he won’t be stopped

This will bite them in the ass so fast. I think back to 2018 when they laughed at Trump when he told them they would be dependent on Russia for natural gas. This time will be much worse for them.

What makes the electricity to charge the cars? Maybe they will have to get out of their bubble and wait for a charge or find one that works , and have to talk to people that are on the 75-80% pro side of the issues they oppose. Maybe even families of laid off workers .

Annnnnd, they changed their minds. If you watch, you can predict what they will do before they do it. It's just a game they play. They do it to capture the 15 minute crowd. You know, the ones that make a lot of noise about being wrong and the ones that cannot remember what happened last week/month/year.

Over 40% comes from natural gas.
Coal, oil , natural gas powers about 80 % of worlds energy.
What is the shutdown really about though? It is all about ice. The blue states that are losing citizen populations are protecting people here illegally to be counted to keep from losing electoral votes. The opposition to voter id and citizenship is based on this political strategy. It is not about what is best for the people it is all about their power. We were joe manchin away from a packed supreme court and federal control of elecfions not long ago.

Ice is funded. Voter ID is a solution without a problem. This is nonsense political theater

Shut it all down. If it hurts then make sure the blame is placed on govt, not a political party

Whatever works for you is fine by me. I am scared of running out of charge in the middle of nowhere. I have heard horror tales for EV truck owners not being able to tow trailers or RVs very far before discharging. I would like to own a hybrid though.

It is about protecting all the illegals from all over the world they allowed in during the biden years. No vetting , medical or background, no mandatory vax , and many unknown gotaways They are losing citizen voters to red states and must replace them to keep from losing electoral votes . If trends continue with the 30 census the electoral college and redistribution of congressional seats will favor republicans heavily.
It actually is the replacement they denied they advocate for.

My next vehicle will be a hybrid. Hope by then the Chinese makers are allowed in. If not, RAV4 has best range for the EV part

Amnesty for illegals started under Ronald Reagan. Republicans have been in power umpteen times since and done nothing about it. Let's not ignore history.
