You should be able to get one in section YYY then.
We should have "concourse" seats for poor white trash like me. We stand behind cones in between gaps of the walls into the field for extra noise.

We get to "feel" the game through the energy of the stadium within the concourse. A couple TVs and a concourse full of fun people. Like a sports bar, but having some of the experience 😭😭

I can already imagine the home field advantage through the "Concourse Club" / "Volunteer Po'Boys" / "Concourse Crew" / "Concourse Boys". Rowdy and FUN.

Flat feet, any game, $3.50, funding UT with beer and bread.

This also strokes the ego of the neo upper class excelsiites who get to watch the game within the stands as the plebeians layout hands for popcorn crumbs. The Senate seats within the confines of interior Neyland stadium get to enjoy the experience as the Romanesque poverty-stricken middle class get the tree fitty deal. This would drive up interior stadium upper class prices as Danny White wants

Sadly I believe I've attended my last game in Knoxville. My knees are finally too shot to handle it. I'm afraid to get replacements because of the problems my brother had. As long as I can get around locally fairly well I'll pass on the knife.

I attended my first game in 1966 (Alabama) and went to one or more games every year except for two seasons that were interrupted by military service. There was a 30 year period in there where I only missed I think 5 home games. I'm gonna miss it but it looks like there will be a Hunerwadel (wtf kind of name is that?) or two there for decades to come.

It's been a long time since I was able to justify paying for a ticket to an SEC matchup. I can watch at home for free, in the comfort of my own home, drink, cuss, and celebrate till my heart's content.

Sorry Dan has priced me an average Joe out of attending a game at those prices. Will watch from my comfy home. Go Vols!!! The real UT.
Again, that’s not Danny or UT. Those are through resellers. They are the ones pushing the high prices.

No chance I’d pay those prices or any close to them. Will watch on the big screen. Much better view, the food is better, drinks cheaper and I don’t have to put up with the morons and drunks around me.

I'm right there with you except for the last line.

I can't uninvite family to the house.

The problem with this kind of ticket pricing is it essentially ā€œprices outā€ all the crazy, loud fans. It hurts the Neyland effect.

It’s the rich that get these tickets, buy up the season tickets, or get priority for the early single game releases. And the rich are quiet and sophisticated.

I was at the Oklahoma game last year. It was an absolute must-win night game in perfect weather, and yet our crowd was extremely disappointing.

I think they understand it. And I think they understand that if they don’t have season tickets already, the secondary market prices is what they’re going to pay if they want to attend a game.
If they understand it, why are they blaming Danny White?

I suppose he is responsible as he could have kept Pruitt. Homeless folks would be able to afford tickets if only he had chosen that option.

Good point….most understand it I suppose.

Ol’ Danny hasn’t seen a price he didn’t want to raise either, however.

Whatever….it’s all too high.

I had that same problem when I went to the Arkansas game, it was the first quarter and on Arkansas’s first third down the decibel noise was 101 or 102

I paid $500 a ticket to go to Georgia game last year and getting into the stadium was a nightmare.

Did they fix that yet?

Texas does go big.

2012, their first trip to Oxford before SEC, they landed so many private jets from Texas, they had to land extras in Tupelo and be bused over...

Matthew McConaughey rented out City Grocery for the whole weekend for Friday night, two Saturday parties for his friends (for $250K in 2012 dollars)

Then there is if they bring their Band and BEVO.

Club Neyland was in full effect though. Dancing like idiots while we lost.

I was trying to see if I could save up some of my money so I could take a trip up to Knoxville and get tickets to the Texas game but… for crappy seats they’re still around 500 dollars

Do you think Danny White and/or the UT AD is responsible for the $500+ price of seats?

I've been sitting in the same 4 seats in X for over 40 years. I've seen both sides of the ticket "coin".

For many of those years I (along with all the other long term season ticket holders) pretty much "ate" the tickets we couldn't even give away.

I can't tell you how many games I traded 2 tickets for two hotdogs and two cokes because you couldn't sell a ticket on the way in for more than the concessions cost. Really.

When it rains it pours, and right now I'm rather enjoying getting soaked, lol.

Anyway, I got a pair of season tix under cover in X, great seats right beside me, I'd happily let both of them go for $2500 and buy my own soda and dogs.

Cost of doing business with blatant monopolies like Live Nation and Ticketmaster. Everything is resale by design because they want to maximize fee revenue. Ticketmaster owns the vast majority of the tickets and gets to collude on the price. Isn't it grand?

Hard pass. I'll watch from the couch. I've given all I'm going to give to this insanity known as "college" sports.
I agree! For $500 +, I can sit in the comfort of my own house watching on a big screen TV, all the beer I want, better food and hassle free! I'll pass on the Neyland hassle! Thanks! ;)

And I used to bitch about getting DD row 30 or whatever when I was in school at UT. That is absolutely bonkers. A family of 4 can't do that in most cases but Danny doesn't give a damn about them.
