Did Kiffin Make A Mistake By Letting Coleman Get Away?

UTC is the worst team to land on a college field...of course he'll be a star there...i mean i've never even heard of Glenville State, they're probably a nobody so UTC will fill some seats for their first game and pump up the fans...and sell some tix to the next game...but unfortunately they are in for a rude awakening! lol.....should've stuck with the REAL UT BJ!!! ;)

Glenville State isn't even an NCAA school.

Ha exactly as I thought...are they like D-0? lol...it would be the mighty mockingbirds of UTC to schedule a game like that:post-4-1090547912:

They're NAIA. A good high school team could beat a team like Glenville State.

Coleman's stats (per Chattanoogan.com):

18-34, 258 yds, 1 TD

Barely completed half of his passes against an NAIA defense. And there are still people who think he could have been a star against SEC defenses?

GARCIA IS A JOKE. 7 points and they came because of a fumble inside the 15 yard line. If butterfingers for NCState catches the ball in the endzone on their last drive they lose tonight.

Coleman made a good move. He is getting playing time, which he probably wouldnt have gotten at UT.

I was at the game tonight and here is my honest opinion. BJ Coleman is exactly where he needs to be. He is NOT an SEC calibur quarterback. I counted at least 7 times where he over threw his receiver. 2 or 3 of them would have been TD's if thrown accurately. He also does not posess any type of mobility to elude 0-star defenders from Glenville State. How in the world could he evade players like Brandon Spikes? I'm not quite sure what Cutcliffe saw or thought he saw in BJ, but all I can say is 4 star my ass.

I believe that Coleman made the right decision for himself. He could've refrained from doing all the bad-mouthing about Kiffin at the time, but he's still a kid so he gets a pass for that. However I do applaud him for making the right choice. The thing is, he really could be a star at this level if UTC coach Russ Huesman surrounds him with the right players.

Oh and don't be fooled by any numbers BJ may have put up. They passed on almost every down. It really was reminiscent of Spurrier's "fun and gun" system.

The thread was started by one of your fellow Chatta/Colemanites. What do you want us to do; block you guys from posting?

There are about 200 college QB's that could put up good numbers against Glenville ST.

I'm sorry, but beating a D-2 team is not impressive, his stats were not impressive, and he pretty much locked on to Blue Cooper all game

not siding either way in this, but that statement is just about around the talent level of crompton too

Crompton, bad as he is/has been, wouldn't have much difficulty completing over half his passes vs. Glenville State.
