The Official #25 Tennessee [5] vs. Auburn [12] Game Thread, 3:00 PM ET, SEC Network

if Auburn gets in and Miami(OH) doesn't, the fix is absolutely in.
Auburn doesn’t deserve it, and I’m not sure Miami does either. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. Miami has a hideous schedule. I hear stories about them getting turned down, but I have no doubt they could have scheduled a few better teams.

Especially when this is a league that might only have 4 that get out the first weekend.
Part of that record is Houston, Michigan, Arizona, and Purdue. I could see Pearl dialing it back just a little going forward. If they had two more wins over teams like Iowa or Villanova, they probably get in.

I guess the refs forgot their assignment today...
No, they still called a BUNCH of no and light contact fouls on us and allowed them to mash us at the rim. But of course, when the clock got short they gave them the incidental contact calls instead of letting us run clock.

The replay of the JK drive to the rim during post game was a classic LOOK THE OTHER WAY no call. And that was with Coach chewing on them the whole second half. Ament forced them to call those down the stretch up high and in clear view.

How in anybody’s world can giving the other team 2 points help?

I think getting a T is one of those things that people think always fires up the team but I would guess the facts show they usually have zero effect and probably actually usually hurts the team. People cherry pick times they can remember it firing up the team/crowd.

Got to get more from Boswell. You have Ament and Gillespie getting all that attention and yiu Have zero shots made? I also believe he had the Pettiford assignment most the game? Anyone think Pettiford puts up 28 if Mashack is still here?

The first half was egregious and it knocked us off our game. The sad thing is there were several replays where the refs had to watch how bad a job they were doing and then continued the same ****.

Remind me again, which team won the game? For those wanting or desiring a even called game or nearly even called game, hold your breath. Because it hasn't happened in 50 years...

Whatever adjustments Rick made worked. 20 in the first half, 8 in the second. Boswell and Gillespie were fighting over screens and denying handoffs. Plus the refs caught onto his flopping

I’d put Miami of O in - neither team would advance out of the first weekend, but MofO is a much better story.
