These are fair questions.

Think the oil needs to be held and sold and given to the new regime IF a true new regime rises up.

We need to push for true honest elections and the people their MUST take action and stand up now. If not, another as bad regime will fill the power vacuum.

But the main point here is the Iranian people have a chance here. What they do with it is up to them.

On your last comment the answer is a whole heartedly "YES". I am not too confident this administration will leave it up to them, especially with Israel in mind. Mostly, the Iranian people want a pro-western democracy. Have for decades. Ever heard of the somewhat clandestine organization called the CLI? Committee to Liberate Iran. Lots of US and International oil presence plus pro democracy from within the ME. Had a strong presence post 9/11/01, but actually was formed a decade earlier with interest long before that

I read it quite clearly the first time. He said "if Trump wanted regime change in Iran there would be regime change" as if it's an easy thing to do that Trump just chose not to. If regime change was as easy as air strikes Trump would've done it. The reality is regime change requires far more POLITICAL CAPITAL than Trump has right now.

The American public has no appetite for a ground war in Iran so no Trump couldn't have gotten regime change "if he wanted".
