C'mon, get in early. Why wait?

"Let's give that Staub kid a shot. He's got experience...."

"When is that idiot Heupel going to give Faizon a chance? Do we have to lose by 20 before he gets a rep?"

"He clearly doesn't trust G-Mac to throw deep. We're doomed....."

It's easy. It'll make just as much sense when you see crap like that in Oct or Nov.
Oh that doesn't trust one will definitely be used, heard it during Milton, Niko and Joey.

The coaches see but don’t forget that Heupel is the coach who picked Milton to play ahead of Hooker. You remember that guy who should have been in NY for the Heisman ceremony.
So Coach was supposed to pick Hooker who didn't look as good in practice over the guy who looked good, the one the players said looked the best, the one that people who got to see the practices looked the best

What has he done to deserve it? If he wins the job, good for him, but to this point, he hasn’t earned anything.
and you know this how? deserve it? I agree with not just handing him the ball, but I will say If he does have an edge. He hasn't sat on his butt and just watched for a year. If he thinks that then, No. I don't think he will have any problem earning it. We are right where we should be with the QB situation. JA was a great plug n play.

The offense was not top shelf in 2025. It started the year looking that way but fizzled against good competition. I agree the defense was plain bad.
They had the top offense and the top passer in the SEC. 2 of JA's highest passing yardage games were against UGA and OU, 2 playoff teams. The defense and TOs lost those 2 games. Nothing CJH can do about JA giving it to the other team. That's not part of the offensive game plan.

I have no clue what you’re trying to convey. Tennessee had won 30 games in the three years before MacIntyre arrived on campus.
You may need to review our history to see how many national championships we have. If you talking about since the Stone Age, 1 is correct. I’m sorry, I was trying to reply to the individual who said we have 1 national championship.

You can't enter the SEC season with 1 skinny red shirt freshman QB and if he gets hurt you trot out an untested newbie. Huepel needs to have them both ready and both will should see action early.
Don't tell Peyton that. He started out as third string, two go down, skinny freshman steps in. Worked out ok.

My change of heart usually comes every August. At the end of every season after the team "is only a year or two away" I tell myself I'll try not to get too invested since they're usually not quite good enough. By the following August I've convinced myself they have a chance at being elite and I'm pulled right back in.

You forget where we were when he got here. And we've only one one national championship in 1998 due to the Payton Manning recruiting bump.
That’s not accurate. Tennessee was recruiting at high level years before Peyton arrived. You’re discrediting the Andy Kelly era that led to Heath.

Bro said "The Peyton Manning Recruiting Bump" LOL!!!!

We were raiding Georgia and Florida way before Peyton arrived on campus under Fulmer and Majors before him.

The Vols have 2 very solid quarterbacks. It doesn’t necessarily need to be one or the other. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. The starter may be different from one game to another. Depending on the situation within the game, there may be a chance that we would benefit from both playing extensively in any one game. I think Heupel might think outside the box this year with this particular situation. Trust.

Whoever wins the job deserves to start. With that said, if the starter is anyone other than G-Mac, we're probably in for a long season.

You know we have "2 very solid quarterbacks" based upon.........????

We don't know that at all except by trust and belief in Josh Heupel. Period. Saying anything beyond we HOPE we have 2 very solid QBs is all on faith in our coach.
