Coach Caldwell Presser today

Very inaccurate and misleading writing from the author of this story!!

Water boils at 212F and that is pretty darned hot. So, her if her seat is "not hot," then it is also not starting to boil.

Her seat could be warming. Water also evaporates at any temperature above freezing, so technically her seat could be evaporating.

If we assume her seat was cold when she took the job, it might be melting at this point. That is another viable option.
Agree, it’s hot.

This is true. Scientific fact, at any temp above 32 degrees, water begins to evaporate. Mad is a mad scientist, so there.

We will look back on this era someday and think fondly of a young KC that was just put in a spot where she was destined to be a short experiment. I really like her but just don't think what she wants to do will ever work against the highest level of coaches and athletes. Maybe she just needs 10 of the "right" players to make it work, but that's a tough ask in this day when rosters and player attitudes change like the weather in TN. When her time is up, this will be more about DW's gamble than it will be KC.
How do you know her time will ever be up.

I realize I am definitely in the minority but I have no issue with her post-game comments and appreciated her presser today. It's clear she is listening and considering all parts of how to get better. She's not tuning out anything. That said, I recall everyone flipping out when Pat went off on her team after a tourney loss and said Ariel needed to get to TN ASAP as the starting point guard when she was in high school. I didn't have a problem with that either. Our current team played even with the best team in the country on their home floor for 20 mins then threw in the towel. Then they just decided to not play much at all against SC. They SHOULD be called out. I don't blame the freshman, as they are a different breed of players, but there is a massive void in leadership from the upperclassman and it is embarrassing to see. Period.

Good grief. 1 1/2 seasons & some of you have already written her off. This fanbase is the poster child for the “instant gratification “ world we live in now.

For sure she and her coaches can recruit highly ranked players ! but what Kellie never did was deliver two of the biggest losses in UT history
She hasn’t got the 2 biggest losses Pat Summits 31 point loss to Texas in 1984 is still the 2nd worst loss in lady vol history glad she got things turned around & they didn’t Fahr her

I can't even tell you how debilitating it is seeing so many blown layups and attack the rim opportunities. Same can be said for the free throw line because that's FREE.
Every-time my son and I watch ball together and a bad FT shooting team misses one we both look at each other and yell “The’re Fing Free”

You have the right to your opinion about my post just as much as I have a right to my opinion of whether this will work or not. I didn’t say she should be fired this year, next year or 5 years from now. I don’t need instant gratification. It’s been a very long time since TN has had a top women’s basketball team. I’ll keep waiting.

I wish someone would have asked if she is considering making adjustments to her system to try to get the best out of this group of players.
She shouldn’t have to adjust her system to get the best out of her players.

That is a deep thought in some ways, but shallow in others. I suspect if most successful coaches were asked about this topic they would align more with the thought of adjusting your system to the talents of your players to get the most of their abilities, but wth do I know.

There is never a time to loaf, especially after a turnover. Get your ass back and defend. We all heard what your favorite coach (Geno) said about body language.
I’m hoping SC gets a whack at the Huskies this season, who knows, might be a good game. UCLA and Texas have a chance also, probably LSU on a given night. It‘s why I take the field over Uconn this year, not putting anything on it, just a hunch.

A lose is a lose. You can't keep dwelling on the past or it'll determine your future. They need to focus on the now and that's Mizzou.
I agree but my response was in response to the post about the past coach 👌🏽

So not really dwelling on the past but replying to a current post.

They do need to focus on Mizzu with all their injuries it would be easy for this team to look past them to their match up sunday. However, with their play I don’t know how they could afford to look passed the practice players they are going up against.

I’m sorry she had the biggest loss with point differential to Uconn and the 43 point loss. I was mistaken in the loss records that were recently set (and that is not shade I literally got mixed up).

Well the LV’s should be ready for Missouri. If not shame on them. Let’s hope they are focused, keep their heads in the game, play four full quarters, and pick their shots wisely. They had better be ready to guard the three and keep Missouri off the foul line. They had better figure out the zone defense because that is what they will get with the Lady Tigers.

I keep saying it Mizzu has players out and we HAVE TO take advantage of that. Get down low with our size and not just chuck up 3s.

As many have noted, Kim has said repeatedly that her system does not work without maximum effort. If you are playing for two mins at a time and can't give max effort then that's on the players. The freshman play harder and they are just getting used to the system.

Yeah it took Holly a whole 4.5 years and Kellie 3 years before they got the pitchforks. Kim isn't Allowed one bad season because of her track record and success so the fans expect a quick fix of which she promised but hey.

The loss to UConn was 30 which is less than 31 point Pat had versus Texas

It is not the thought of a bad season it is having two of the worst losses in Tennessee history is a very short period of time and the real possibility that more are coming before the season is over.

I don’t know. She may win big and prove me and many others wrong. I hope so! It’s not anti-TN or anti-KC to say that this doesn’t appear it’s going to work. And until it does (win big) it’s not wrong to say it.
If you're expecting a NC this year, you insane. Damn 2 years in and plenty of opportunities left and you're throwing in the towel. You need to get with the effortless 4. I suspect that thise 4 will play much harder from here on out (at least I'd hope so).
