Vandy's bringing a fan bus to Knoxville...

I have never understood why we don't do this! Vandy, Georgia, and Kentucky would be great opportunities to allow fans to go to the closer away games. Even SC wouldn't be bad. I know SC brought a fan bus to Knox last year.
We used to....I remember taking a bus ride to a Kentucky game in Lexington a few years back.

Back in the 70's, they had 5 or 6 busloads of UT fans leaving out of Memphis to Ole Piss, Mississippi State and a few other places for basketball games. Those were some fun times.

Yes, having charter buses for away games used to be a regular thing. It was something the Lady Vols used to be very proud of. In fact, I remember the time Glory Johnson was asked in an interview if she thought Tennessee fans would make the trip to whatever game they were about to play, and she chuckled before saying, "If we were to play a game on the moon there would be at least one bus load of Lady Vol fans there."

And she right! I miss those days.

Are they gonna raffle off a used car tomorrow night? 😉

Look at Vandy, getting all excited, hopeful and organized. Reminds me of that old show The Jefferson’s with that theme song “Moving on Up”, you remember….”Well we’re moving on up! To the East side….We finally got a piece of the pie!” 😉

One of my most memorable trips of all time was attending the Memphis game where we became #1 until a few days later --- when Vandy would knock us out of it. The trip was put together by the Tip Off Club and we had a blast. I'm not sure if the Tip Off Club puts bus trips together anymore.

Oh yeah and I attended another one with them was to Alabama. They seated up all along the top row so that we didn't have a cheering block. I'm really surprised that they would do that hah New Postsa!
