Looking to make a 5 day trip out west this summer for my 50th. Initially looking at Utah. I read good things about Canyonlands and Capital Reef. Also maybe Lassen or Kings Canyon in CA. Or Gunnison in CO. Been to RMNP, Mesa Verde, San Juan National Forest.
Dad's parents always had Mayfield ice milk, Pepsi, pecan sandies, and nutter butters. My mammaw in Cleveland always had Mayfield banana pops and Mayfield boxed ice cream in the freezer and my big momma in Monteagle always had moon pies and RCs in glass bottles for us when we visited.
Back in the day, Mayfield's had ice cream (blue and yellow paper box) and ice milk (red and yellow paper box). My dad's dad always had ice milk and Pepsi in their fridge. The 2 together were perfect. Pepsi over ice milk was more "crunchy" than a regular float.
Can you still buy ice milk?
She should have waited and put them in the microwave. That reminds me so much of my grandfather's story about this pregnant woman he knew that would paint one of her tit's red and the other yellow, freeze them in a cryogenics machine, and then feed him her icy breast milk. Maybe that's where Mayfield got their idea from.
Every bit of that sounds delicious.......even the pecan swirls and I'm allergic to cinnamon.Dad's parents always had Mayfield ice milk, Pepsi, pecan sandies, and nutter butters.
Mom's parents almost always had Mayfield banana pops, lemon sandwich cookies, pecan swirls, and sweet tea. They also would get Moon Pies but not all the time
*neither kept anything chocolate around.![]()
