'26 ASU Transfer QB Sam Leavitt (LSU)

I mean just go and offer Ty 7 million and then we get to beat the hell out of LSU next year with Leavitt
Ty is going to the NFL. 7 Million doesn't even touch a fully guaranteed first round contract. The 32nd overall(last pick of the draft) pick last year signed a fully guaranteed 14.7 million deal. The money will be even higher this year as it goes up each year with the salary cap and Ty likely goes a good deal higher than 32. The 16th overall pick got 19.3 million, #1 overall got 48.7.

He meant 7mil per year on a deferred NIL contract.

Pay him till he’s 75.

It really will be interesting to see what happens if we dont get Leavitt. If the rumors are true that we're willing to go this high, surely there is someone really good we could walk in to the portal or lure Ty back.

Wasnt there rumors about certain boosters willing to spend for Ty, Maybe Heupel convinced them to spend on Leavitt?
Maybe. Who knows? But if we are offering 6.5-7 million for Leavitt, I hope it doesn’t hamper us in getting the other defensive players we need. Because we still need quite a few guys.

A few things:
1) I honestly could care less about getting Leavitt, but would love to make Lane look like a schmuck.
2) TN is actually spending money! How many times have we complained about us looking like cheap skates?
3) I love the fact that Heupel isn’t quitting. That makes me happy and tells me that this man wants to win the championship at all costs!
