2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Unfortunately, this barely makes the top 5 of things ruining the sport as it is right now, but once it goes to unlimited elegibilty, it will jump up and probably be tied with unlimited transfers for the two things that finally broke college football completely.
If Congress refuses to step in and regulate, we'll reach a point where the best-case scenario for all involved is if schools step away from the sport and let the NFL form a minor league system. While I'm pro paying the athletes there needs to be clear structure to all of this, and only Congress can get that done.

How much did the tumor (or symptoms) impact Joey's play the second half of the year? I've not seen any discussion of that and I'm curious how much people actually around the program think it affected him, if at all.
Which arm was it in? Saw someone ask that on Twitter but it wasn’t answered

Unless it was on his brain impacting some ill advised throws i would say minimal. His issue never was pure accuracy it was always the decisions. He's got too much bad Bret Farve at times. He won't change that IMO. You live with it
It's also what makes him fun to watch.
Some outlet commented on a symptom being sporadic pain & weakness in the arm. It would explain some throws that just didn't get where they were supposedly going and might explain him throwing some of the short passes like Joe Milton, trying to over-compensate. Theoretically (and I know I'm reaching here) after taking the hit on the scramble against Bama, it could have been the reason for the terrible throw on the 100 yd pick 6 going into the half. Not saying it was, just explaining why I was curious.

Totally fair. My only point was with Joey you take the good with bad and I would not expect him to have league leading INT rate if he returns. I say that with respect. He brings way more good than bad.

Friday the attorneys for the case involving Joey received a list of preliminary questions that indicated a high likelihood of a favorable ruling. Read that as you will. Courts are very cautious now about “lost wages liability” and endless appeals. Staff starting to think it will break our way.
That would be awesome. Would love a second year with Joey. We need more Joey's. With a year under his belt he could do some amazing things next year.

Your like a broken record dude, chill out we get your point you don' t want JA back.Give me him or Ty and a good Defense and lets roll.

I respectfully disagree. What he did this season with as little time as he was here was amazing. Give him a defense that puts him in a position where he doesn't need to be superman and you might be surprised what he can do. I also think you need somebody that will take a few chances occasionally or the offense can be very stagnant. The guy showed up in late May and led the SEC in passing. I understand some of the bad but the good outweighed the bad by like 10-1 in my view. Plus the guy is a great representative and leader on the team.
