I really think you guys are missing the plot here. He is not remotely worth 5mil. If we are smarter with our funds and get tons of defensive dudes and then get a QB that is waaaaay better than people think THAT is the way to go. Let Kentucky overpay and not surround him with support. We don’t lose anything to Kentucky. If they get him then we thought a different route was better. This is ridiculous.

If Kentucky gets Leavitt it’s not a bad thing. Means they vastly over paid and don’t get the portal thing just yet. They need a lot more than just a solid QB.

Caleb is worth trying to keep and develop. But it maybe and issue of “fit”

He’s exactly the same size as Chaz Coleman.

Except Herring has 3 more sacks and 22 more tackles than Coleman. Also hes two years older than Coleman.

I liked Caleb but i’ve said already i was disappointed with how he played. Illinois had a backup tackle in the entire game and he didn’t even get any pressures let alone a sack

you shouldn't worry about losing anybody from that defense. we are putting effort and money into overhauling the whole defensive staff/system.......no reason to pay a kid to stay around that doesn't fit/won't play. Didn't have mind blowing production anyways. Bring in some good portal players and lets improve this defense for next year
