Lance Heard to Portal

the only feather in Warren’s hat is a 3 year old HS rating. Ratings mean nothing to me after a player has been in college for 12+ months
I like kids who work their butt off to change their body. He did that. Somebody will get a good player but I think Vols play Perry at RT, slip Moe in at RG

I just said I wish he would reconsider so we could keep the guy who’s two years in the program. If we have to pay for another guy then what does it matter if we have bigger needs? Do you think the portal player will play for Petros cards? But I appreciate you explaining to me how ratings and the portal works. I was unaware until you brought them to my attention.
no reason to get your panties in a bunch. relax brother. it’s just football talk

Is that 3 O lineman in the last 24 hours?

After watching the bowl game, I think they left last week 😆
Yea, it’s tough to develop depth in the portal era…no doubt we’ll pick up a couple of OL out of the portal to make up for the ones we lost.

Sanders, Umarov, Pendleton, Moe, Perry ain’t a bad lineup with Satterwhite pushing for PT. Could use more depth but need to flip the defense. Can’t have it all

I know Heard had a rough year but just assuming we wil get an upgrade in the portal? That’s not a for sure thing. I highly doubt Heupel does it but Elarbee needs to go.

Why is LT more important? Honest question
Most quarterbacks are right-handed. Thus, the QB's back side, aka the "blind-side", while standing in the pocket going through their progressions, is more often than not on their left side.
The Left Tackle (LT) position is considered the most important offensive line position because they protect the quarterback's left side, their "blind-side".
To reiterate, a right-handed quarterback can see a pass rush coming from ahead or to their right, based upon body articulation in preparation to throw. They cannot see a darn thang to their left unless they diagnose pre-snap, or their first read/pass-target is far, short-left (i.e. a wr screen pass)

Yep. Stop hiring recruiters and start hiring coaches who know how to win.

Do that, and the recruits (game winners) will come.
