Being an “Everything” School

You can’t be an everything school now. Although I don’t understand how Vanderbilt has become better than us in nearly every sport. They have the better men’s and women’s basketball team. Better football team. Hopefully not the better baseball team.

If we have to pick and choose with spending money then yes pour the most money into football. Face it, football pays the bills. It’s the sport that truly matters.

Or, pour every football dollar into linemen.
I think it's safe to say no football team in history at any level has ever had an elite QB that spent 80% of the games running for his lfe. Tom Brady was Tom Brady because Tom Brady rarely got hit. That's also why some QB's, or other players for that matter, are great in college and suck in the pros. In the right(or wrong) NFL franchise, alot of first pick QB's would flop, and unknowns would succeed. Oh wait. It's a team sport, and one where every great player has a pretty darn good supporting cast. Barry Sanders being the lone exception at Detroit.

Screw that

I agree. It's nice looking forward to other sports other than football. Even with Tony leaving, they won their first championship in baseball. Barnes always keeps them competitive in basketball and might get to a Final Four. If Vandy can pull it off with multiple sports, why can't the actual state school?

Vandy? WTF? Their baseball team is the only sport that has been able to maintain any national relevance. Oh, in some years their golf program is a top ten program. They're good in football once about every 15-29 years. Basketball program is better this year, but they have pretty much sucked for the last 25 years.

Football is my favorite sport, but I disagree. It’s much more likely that we see another NC in baseball than any other sport and 2024 was a damn fun summer. I enjoyed it very much.
