It happened a year ago so hopefully it is to the point she will be available to play as a freshman at Tennessee or maybe later this season for her high school. To bad because they are playing Webb in Knoxville on the 6th of January would've been a chance for the locals to see her in a game.

Maybe already posted but looks like Joyce Etute decomitted from from UCLA. One of the only coaches I see she follows is Gabe Lazo. May be nothing but she looks like a really nice player. 6’1” forward with a really strong build but still very quick with a nice handle. She would be a great pickup if we can get her.

Do you know why she decommitted? As for the Gabe angle, that makes sense. He tends to recruit up and down the Atlantic coastline and she went to IMG with Deniya.

In the meantime, this is her skillset

I guess she didn't sign her LOI with UCLA in November.

You could be right. I find it very odd that she verbally committed to UCLA in October after having made several official visits to schools such as North Carolina, Texas, South Carolina, etc. but chose not to sign her LOI in mid-November. Thinking about going pro instead of attending college wouldn't have impacted her choice to sign that LOI. Only thing not signing her LOI does is allow other schools to continue recruiting her.

16 and 12 are nice numbers cause she plays on a team where many of the players can score they have beaten some of the ranked teams in the last couple of years including IMG Academy. The point guard on that team is really good wish she was a Lady Vol as well.

Was trying to remember who she visited officially. She went through with several "planned" official visits to North Carolina, Texas, UCLA, and Cal; not sure who else. Then, when Sitaya Fagan was on her official visit to South Carolina, there was Joyce Etute with her; so, almost seemed like South Carolina was gonna swoop in at the last minute. But, she commits to UCLA in mid-October; odd that she didn't sign her LOI in November.

Yesterday, she started following TexasWBB Instagram account; so, Texas could be a potential landing spot. She also started following LSU signee Lola Lampley, and vice versa. Seeing her follow LSU assistant coach (Redus). As far as I remember, LSU was not a school she was considering. But, with Jerzy picking South Carolina, it won't surprise me if LSU throws everything they have trying to gain her signature.

I’ve heard from a couple different sources she’s headed to Texas. Nice player, congrats!
