2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Staley is going to be our slot guy. He isn't going to by playing outside to replace Brazzell.... Don't be a bozo
Hey dum dum, When the hell did I say Staley was going to be an outside WR? Please show me where I said that. I said Staley will be our #1 WR next year, I said NOTHING about playing outside. You have a problem with comprehending things, don't you? Don't be embarrassed, it happens. I'm sure you can find some help with that. But, do it fast! You do know a slot WR can be WR1, right?

You're a very unhappy, angry person. Is there anyone on here you haven't fought with? Get some help, it will save your life!

Last two years of QB’s under Briles vs Hazle. But sure, Hazle is some world beater at OC.

Briles QB Production

Pass Yards - 7421

Total Touchdowns - 62

Hazle QB Production

Pass Yards - 6,060

Total Touchdowns - 49
I’m not arguing that Halzle is a better coordinator, but I like how you went back and grabbed the Nico year to make his stats look worse.

Last year:

Hoover:
3472 yds, 29 TDs, 13 int

JA:
3444 yds, 24 TDs, 10 int

Coaches job is to motivate and coach the players up. They are paid hundreds of thousands or millions to do it.
And players are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars sometimes millions to execute what they are taught. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Those who know a lot more about football than I ever will have said the things I am saying. Players have to want it.

You’re right.
Full disclosure: I’ve been following him since HS and he had a problem then. Hands.

He was much much better safety imo.
Put it like this UGA let Bolden commit to FSU because they thought they were getting Mike as their safety. Mike commits to UT, the UGA throws the house at Bolden.
He was an All-American as a sophomore at safety for UGA this season….
And yes I STILL think Mike would be a better safety if he committed to that.

So theres some frustration on my part because I’ve seen guys take my advice and become millionaires in the NFL. Mike is so athletic and instinctual at safety- not to mention fast- you could plug him in during a game next season with no prep, no practice and he would be the highest grades safety after the game was done.
But, it’s his free will and choice to want to become a great WR. He has the physical talent, but his focus needs to get better. That’s all catching is. Focus.
You really love your opinion even if it is wrong.

My goodness. You don’t know anyone.

I know coaches all around atlanta and not one would say he was a bad receiver or couldn’t catch. Better safety prospect out of high school, probably but he is an elite athlete who is a damn good receiver right now.

My gosh man

Who is making millions? People really have over estimated what most make. Only a few make a million or more. Almost everyone doesn’t touch a million. My gosh. Our head coach makes over nine million a year and his assistants make more than 90% of the roster. It’s their job to coach and motivate.

Your WR1 doesn't play slot buddy. You should take time to educate yourself. Heupel is going to keep the same downfield passing attack in his 6th year that he's had in the playbook for his 5 seasons here. Staley won't be playing WR1 position.

It is always the folks getting triggered and resorting to name calling.... never fails.

I said he would be our #1 WR.. But yes, WR1 can absolutely play slot! X,Z and FH are how they are identied as far as position. So, you're incorrect..Again.. He will lead the team in Catches, yards and be our best one. But, you need to educate yourself. WR1 is your best and most productive WR. Here you go son, here's your free education!

Such an angry lil elf you are! Probably need to get that fixed before it gets you hurt! Just some free advice! Your apology is accepted for being so wrong!

You and Big Orange Train are the 2 most miserable people on here. You 2 need to be put in a room and just argue about being wrong till you can't anymore! Misery loves company!

Why? He was average at best.
More for what he could’ve been.

Still prob our best short yardage back. Didn’t have great vision, but if I need a guy to get 2 tough north and south yards Lewis is still who I’d have called on out of the 3.

Also the second blue chip RB to peeter out here and leave in as many years. Anyone that can make a case of why we should renew Sims I’m open to hearing it. IMO, meh.

Using AI and Fantasy Football to justify your position is on brand.....

LMAO.. I'm not going to keep doing this with you. It's not hard to understand. You know you're wrong, but won't admit it. It could be sunny outside and you'd argue it was storming.I'm guessing you're missing a Y chromosome and that's why you think you're always right. Go ask ANY Coach and see who's right..I promise you that you won't like the answer. Find someone else to keep proving you wrong, I've done my job!

I’m not defending sims but it should be noted he did not recruit Lewis or the other blue chip RB you’re referring to- which I assume was Seldon - who was a blue chip athlete who everyone had pegged as a receiver.

We all love Staley. Some of you always have to put down a player in order to prop up the guy you love.

Matthews and Staley are both awesome. And different type of WRs.

Staley catches more passes, but Mike had a higher YPC. Staley probably has better hands. Mike is probably better once the ball is in his hands. Neither player was perfect this year. Both had some stretches where they didn’t play very well. Both also made some huge plays for us in huge moments. Both are really important to the offense going into next season.

So shut up and Go Vols

I understand. I wouldn’t be mad if he got another 2 year deal. I just don’t know what you can point to in terms of recruiting or development that tells me he’s a good RB coach for an elite program/aspiring contender.

And most important recruit in next class happens to play his position.

If the players quit that’s on the coaches and the culture they’ve built
Partially. Question. How many times during Banks tenure did you see the defense actually quit? If you are honest and not biased then you will say hardly any. So the culture? Well how was that culture last year?

You coach blaming only people continue to fail.

We have an elite LT on the roster in Sanders. Have a really good to elite RT in Perry. If Heard moves on, we are covered. You have lost your mind about MM. He’s a sophomore and will end up with over 800-900 yards after the bowl! He is very physical and blocks very well. He will be elite for us. Give him what he is worth and keep him in orange!

We do? He has played all season at RT, so I guess he just slides over and the transition is done? Perry, didn't he play most of the season at Guard? I think you don't know what you are talking about if you think that positions are just interchangeable. Seems someone needs to stop playing PlayStation and learn some actual football.

And the Safeties...we need to lock down the secondary especially with a new coordinator who prioritizes man coverage...again when I look at what is returning before any pay raises MM is probably 5th or 6th priority

I agree. They probably didn't quit, they were just severely beat like most recently with Vandy.

Perry definitely played Tackle for like half the season until Sanders was ready.

We also have Bennett Warren who should be ready if need be. And a 5 star true freshman. Depth is solid there.

Probably not going to be a lot of elite tackles attainable in the portal anyways. But we’ve built some nice depth over time.
