I'm not going to argue you with you back and forth...you seem pretty dug in on your Aguilar opinion...but leading the SEC in passing yards doesn't make him the best QB. There are 3, if not 4 guys on that list that objectively had better seasons if you take into account all of their stats, both passing and rushing.

Aguilar was a great story and performed well above expectations given the circumstances, but I'll say it again, no one outside of Tennessee orange would make the argument he was the best QB in the SEC. That, however, doesn't mean he can't be next year.
He is "arguably" the best in the conference. "At or near the top". There is no argument to be had about the fact he was at or near the top of the conference, statistically. He was one of the top 2-4 QB's in the SEC.

That's quite the walk-back.

You said "arguably the best QB", not arguably one of the best QBs. At the top is not the same as near the top, and "arguably the best" is not "top 2-4" if there is no room for #1.

If you had said he was arguably one of the best QBs in the SEC, I'd absolutely agree, but that isn't what you said, even if it was what you meant.

I meant, he is arguably the best QB. It is a fact that he is one of the best QB's (top 1-4)

And turned it over too often in big games.

Coach Heupel took the Appalachian State qb and led the SEC in passing. Anyone who questions his picks of qbs is a dipstick
He's good with the portal ones. Kinda odd we can't develop one from a freshman. How is nobody ready? George was very highly rated, why isn't he developing? It's a bit concerning.

To those who say, Heupel cant develop a quarterback: He developed Hooker & Milton. Both are in the NFL and would not have been before they got here. He was developing Nico. Merk was not developing quick enough, happens. He improved Aguilar or increased his development. Mac is developing. Part of the problem is that the program wants to win now and is not willing to wait on development.

Kiffin is a great quarterback developer and he now grabs from the portal. Everyone develops at different rates. If you want to compete for championships, you have to grab the ones that are more developed.
