Well Aguilar said he is playing in the bowl game which means Gmac is getting no valuable practice or reps or live action this calendar year as the one QB who will be on the roster next season.

Which means we have to go get an experienced QB from the portal right?? No way can roll into spring practice with G-Mac and Brandon as the only QB's on roster.

Plus they will get to practice in all the player lead studies and get togethers before Spring Practice.

In fairness...bowl practice is like 12 extra practices IIRC? All of fall camp is about 15 practices and 2 of those are scrimmages. So not getting to have bowl practices is like losing an entire fall camp worth of practices. That alone makes ND stupid as crap. Morans.

Now factor in those extra 12 practices come right before the portal opens on Jan. 2...for the only portal of the year. So its a time to evaluate who is improving and who is not...who is worth keeping and who needs to leave...where are the weak spots on your team that need most to be addressed in the portal (Safety, DTackle for UT) bowl practices are hugely important. ND cut their own throats and for what?? To show the whole country they were spoiled brats and make every non- catholic hate them even more? šŸ˜†

Oh I dont disagree that its important, but when we were missing bowl games I would be upset that we weren't getting better, but in reality we had so many issues it didnt matter if we were practicing or not.

Curious if we've heard anything during bowl prep as to whether or not Coach Knowles is involved, and if so any changes we might see in the defensive scheme.

I figured if anyone here knew, one of y'all would.

EDIT: It looks like UI's starting left tackle is out (NFL prep), so that would be an obvious area to attack, right?

he will be observing but he will not be involved. He will be assessing staff and players.. not going to try and change a scheme at this point at all or provide input..
