This kid is a winner

So GMAC had a HS record of 17-12?
Faizon has a 35-1 record in HS.

GMAC still needs to add weight. Brandon is actually fine there, but he will get stronger and faster just from training.

I love the potential of GMAC. He could have led us to a bowl game this season had Aguilar not come to UT.

But Faizon Brandon is a totally different animal.
The kid has an aura of greatness to go along with his elite measurables.

He’s the QB that Heupel has been waiting for.
He’s a stronger, smarter version of Nico as a QB.
He doesn’t have idiot parents that will ruin his future.

Just like Nico? Harrison Bailey? Johnathan Crompton?

Look, I’m not trying to throw shade. The guy might end up being awesome. The “experts” think his ceiling is high.

I hope he meets those expectations but history says to slow your roll before anointing them.
Well said, we haven't had the best luck.

In HS he certainly is. Hope that translates to the SEC, but until these kids get on the field in this league and prove themselves against the best, it's a wait and see proposition for me. I've seen way too many HS studs flame out once they get to the SEC.
I am willing to say he will be an all SEC QB before he leave Tennessee. I also know the SEC is always loaded with very good QBs.

What about Heath Shuler? Casey Clausen? Peyton Manning? Tee Martin? Eric Ainge? Andy Kelly? Not all of the history is bad. Most of it is not.

Im all in on GMac before we get to Brandon. Sure, a really good fall camp doesnt mean a lot but there's no reason to skip over him straight to hyping up Brandon just because Brandon is supposed to be a little better.

Amazing how so many on VN simply pass over GMAC like he's nothing. I'm excited about him along with the other QBs. CJH & staff have recruited well.

Agree 100% . Kid could be a world beater, but let’s wait on crowning him just yet.

Just don’t ask Eric Cain to pronounce the word “aura.”

Dudes, Kiffin proved that Fulmer was wrong about Crompton.
Not necessarily. People respond differently to teaching styles. I have and have seen others condemned as hopeless. and worse. Then get free from a doubter, toxic, or generally negative teacher/trainer/parent. Whatever, and under someone who actually know how to teach, bloom big time. My personal case was being unorthodox in how I got things done. So got a lot of "You can't." But had attitude of, "If you get the heil out of the way, I'll show you." Other folks have their own learning styles,it takes a master teacher to recognize it, and teach accordingly. Kiffin, say what you want, had that when it came to QBs. And believe certain other position players. Cromdaddy responded to that as he couldn't Fulmerism.

Without hand injury, GMac was a 5 star, probably played against better HS competition & was recruited hard by Ala & LSU.

I’m not knocking Brandon at all but simply reminding some of GMac’s ability.

Heupel has not had a stable QB situation since he got here.

The closest thing he had was Hooker, and he only had him two years.

After that, it’s been one-year stints with Bandaids. Nico was expected to be more, but he didn’t pan out. The fact that we’ve still had competitive to highly competitive teams through that is actually a feature in Heupel’s cap.

I have very high hopes that Brandon will be THAT GUY who elevates this program to another level. Like Peyton.
