Heard Pavia say on ESPN radio this morning while being interviewed about the Heisman race that Vandy’s win over “UTK” was their biggest win of the year. Wow.

I mean it was between that and Missouri. They only beat two ranked-at-the-time teams this year.

Edit: Forgot that LSU was ranked when Vanderbilt beat them this year.

No, they were 9-2 and were all about business. They just went out and executed. “It was their Super Bowl“ is narcissistic fan thinking
Just trying to make myself feel better about the loss is all. Granted, they did run their mouths all offseason about the game…

Agreed.....it is pretty cocky to claim in the off-season you're going to go to someone's house and beat them - especially when your track record (including the season before) is not in your favor. Super Bowl? IDK. But definitely the biggest game of their season including any non-CFP bowl game. He'll probably run for mayor of N'ville in 5-10 years.

Re: Pavia becoming mayor

Well, he is already ALMOST at the age where that could become a reality.

First up, I'm a UT grad,. My wife is a UT grad. I've got kids on the Hill right now. I've been going to games at Neyland since I was 5. I say all that in preface because, I know this isn't going to be popular, but Pavia is on the short list of best college players I've ever seen play in person and deserves the Heisman.
I got to see him play a few times in Nashville the last two years and there is so much he does that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. His instinct feeling pressure and escaping sacks is unbelievable, his compete level is off the charts. I know he rubs some people the wrong way but he's the kind of fighter you want on your team. Watch him get out and block sometime after making a pitch. He's the kind of leader that elevates the players around him. Getting that Vandy team last year to 7 wins was astounding. I know they have more talent around him this year but he carries that team on his back and is the perfect qb for that Kill-Beck offense. They take a big step back without him even if Jared Curtis is as good as advertised.
