Four Tennessee football standouts were recognized on The Athletic's 2025 Freshman All-America Teams released on Friday. Ty Redmond and Braylon Staley were named first-team selections, while Jesse Perry and Edwin Spillman received second-team honors from the publication.

Tennessee's four players on The Athletic Freshman All-America teams were the most of any team in the country, and UT was one of eight schools with multiple honorees. Georgia and Notre Dame each had three selections, while five other schools had two.

That makes great recruiting material. Fills a kids head with visions of grandeur. I like it.

I think most of knew we had a really good group of Freshmen. We did have over 530 Freshmen/redshirt Freshmen in our aquaria of 82.. Just wait until next year when we are likely to have more on the Freshmen All-American team.

We have some very good young players on this team.

Ty Redmond got better and better as the season progressed.

Time to hit the portal and build the team around these young guys.

Redmond made 3rd team All SEC as a true freshman and also graded out 4th best in pass coverage in the SEC this year...and thats after the 170yds and 2TDs he gave up vs UGA in his 1st SEC game. He is a badazz. Was tied for 1st in the SEC in passes defended (13) and pass broken up (10). Also had 3INTs. Much better freshman season than anyone could have reasonably expected from him.

Baptism by fire.
He held up pretty well given how much he was targeted.
The best pass Gunner Stockton will ever throw on 4th and a mile was painful and nothing else could’ve been done besides PI to stop that.
Future is bright 🕶️

Actually Redmond should have done a better job rerouting him, but he was a true freshman!

Nice throw by Gunner but Humphries shouldn't have even been there
