I feel like I’ve seen a few people say it takes a while to learn Knowles defense… is it that complicated?

From what I gather it can be, but I think he’s more willing to “dumb things down” more than Banks was if that makes sense. So less stubborn and will adapt to what works

Man, I was dreaming and it came true. I know some of you are high on Walters and people were downing Knowles, just a case of people having no clue. When all the fire Banks stuff started I said Who are we gonna get, its not like we can just go and get Jim Knowles. Well I was wrong, I guess we can. The man is good.

I really don’t know how to feel about Knowles. I was excited about the Walters hire when it seemed like things were headed that direction. Felt like a home run. PSU’s defense was pretty bad this year, and it’s not Iike they lacked talent.

Was it bad? Or did Penn State just go 3 and out over and over?

“Over the last four seasons (Ohio State and Oklahoma State), defenses coordinated by Knowles rank first nationally in total defense (284.8), second in scoring defense (15.7), and third down efficiency (30.5%).”

After Banks, Jesus give me that 3rd down efficiency!
