Coaches have representatives. Direct talks are not a necessity initially especially if plausible deniability is desired. Not all coaches play the attention game that has been on display of late. Iowa St. has declined a bowl & Campbell/Penn St. talks were made public after Iowa St. was done with their season. I could see a Walters announcement next Tuesday, though I'm just speculating.
