In state tuition at UTK is $14k. That is no where near the highest. Look up Willam and Mary or Penn state. My frustration is just that UTK is already the most expensive in-state public school for tuition and fees. And they try to promote a 'guaranteed' in-state policy despite requirements basically restricting the vast majority of HS to only having 2 or 3 graduating seniors even eligible per the guidelines.
That's not a guarantee at all...
Why shouldn’t all schools get that agreement, no AQs?We need to demand the same deal ND was reportedly granted earlier this year: going forward, if we finish 12 or better, we too get an automatic bid. If a G5 is to be inserted, some other team has to take the hit.
It's amazing that Sankey agreed to this. Also that he didn't demand the same for our entire league.
I thought you were referring to in state tuition for public universities. My bad.
In for a pound out with a penny IMO. Signing away your management rights is only going to cost you in the end. There is not a private equity firm in the world willing to make less money for the sake of sports results or sacrifice their return for a playoff birth. So you might stay reasonably good for a bit, but that will fade. This should go well…
Agree to disagree. I’d rather compare academically to UGA than LSU. If that means higher standards and higher prices, my opinion is it’s better for UTK and Tennessee.Yeah, other states honestly irrelevant. Too many variables to try and compare against.
But UTK is just doing a lot of things wrong imo from a "main in-state public university" which is compounded a lot by them essentially having no other public schools nearby.
