He's a DB guy too. Sounds like he allows his players to just play and not think too much. He's apparently one of the most efficient play callersI think we should take a look at Nick Benedetto the DC at Fresno State. This was his first season there and the defense went from 52nd in the nation to 14th. The previous 3 seasons he was The DC at Northern Illinois. The previous season before he was hired at NIU, their defense finished finished the season being 116th in the nation. They improved to 23rd in the nation after his second year there and to 4th in nation in his 3rd and final year there.
I hate Alabama and simply disagree. They both had identical 10-2 records in the regular season. Georgia would have beat the crap out of Notre Dame in my opinion. Saying Alabama had 3 losses while Notre Dame had 2 is a little disingenuous. Notre Dame sat on the couch so they couldn’t lose while Bama had to play Georgia in Atlanta . You would lose your ever loving mind if Tennessee got left out of the playoffs after qualifying for the SEC championship because they got beat by the number two seed. Especially if we had beaten that team at their place earlier in the year. Notre Dame got what they deserved for playing a weak schedule and refusing to join a conference. Let’s just move on as I hate both teams. I tend to think if it was all politics and money that Miami would have been left as Notre Dame has a huge advantage in the politics arena. I appreciate your hatred of Alabama. It’s also hard for the committee to justify leaving the team out of the playoffs that finished 2nd in the SEC when you have the teams that finished 3-5 in that conference in the playoffs. It’s never going to be cut and dried as schedules are too unbalanced. I also don’t think Notre Dame would have finished 10-2 if they had Alabama’s schedule. The SEC is just a meat grinder. I think they got it right this year but understand why ND is pissed. Different opinions is what makes the world go round. I want Tennessee to win and be the reason Alabama sits home next year. Go Vols.I still think politics is what got Bama in. As much as I hate ND and think they should have to join a conference to be included, they should have been in over Bama. Two losses compared to three losses and Bama clearly has the worse loss on their record. AND Bama got handled in the SEC CG.
Football politics is part of the decline of this sport.
That wasn't about learning the position as much as knowing the playbook.LT is where the money is at, so I understand the desire, but damn, maybe Sanders should learn to play RT first. If he makes the proper read in the OU game that strip sack doesn't happen. Kid has tons of potential, but he still needs to develop it. One more season of RT before moving to LT would not hurt. But kids are going to chase the money, and money is at LT.
After today that MOU might get shredded. Their AD has been trashing ESPN, the CFP committee, the SEC bias and now opting out of an ESPN broadcast bowl. This is dumb. I'd like to see the major conferences do something about this. That's blatant special treatment for a single school if true.
Definitely agree with you on this. Right tackles make good money also and the NFL values the ability to play both. He should talk to Darnell Wright. Played right tackle for us and was the 10th pick a few years ago. Also about to get paid an insane amount on his second contract. Heard coming back would be huge for us.LT is where the money is at, so I understand the desire, but damn, maybe Sanders should learn to play RT first. I know I'm late with this, but I hope you enjoyed today. I hope the memories never fade.Today is my last day to put on the uniform. This is my last weekend of Army National Guard service. Tomorrow is a Christmas Family Day so we will wear normal people clothes. 28 years seems like a blink of an eye when you get to the end of it.
Respect your opinion but TOTALLY disagreeI still think politics is what got Bama in. Of course ND schedule has so many cupcakes next year that if they lose even one they should not make CFP. Next year is stupid crazy easy. SOS 999I hate Alabama and simply disagree. The ND AD might be a VOL fan. That list sounds like a lot of things I've been doing for years. After today that MOU might get shredded. Their AD has been trashing ESPN, the CFP committee, the SEC bias and now opting out of an ESPN broadcast bowl.
Burning bridges can leave you trapped on the wrong side.
