If they played 12 bangers per year or something like - Bama, UGA, OSU, IU, Vols, Miami, TT, VT, SMU, USC, Oregon, and then a Rice….i’d say let them stay independent and compete for titles.

By now everyone should know that the procedures used to determine the playoffs often change in order to get the names the networks want for max eyeballs. No judgement required. This comes down to one thing....money. I'm sure they'll alter the criteria to eliminate the Tulanes and James Madisons at some point if ratings begin to suffer as a result of their participation.

Brother, trust me I am in 100% agreement with you. I don’t think we are firing him. The fact he wasn’t sent home packing after Vandy tells me all I need to know but would love to be wrong.

I don't think it not happening yet is an indicator of anything other than he's not a desirable candidate as a DC or HC, especially considering how overpaid he is here.

If they don't make a move on Banks and other assistants who are subpar they are not serious about becoming an elite program.

The difference in what we are doing versus the top 6-7 teams is big.

I also hate the bowl alliances. Put together the best matchups and schedule based on entertainment and not conference.

So if they go to 16 teams, the SEC should get in 5 teams. That means almost 1/3 of the SEC teams get in. If the Vols don't get in, what does that say if anything?
