Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Heather Dinich just said Bama could drop out if they lose by a good bit. So making the championship game is a game you don’t want to play. You know OU is loving not playing or risking it. It’s ridiculous to make a big game and it could hurt you. While others sit at home like ND, OU, and others.
So they lied last year?

You don't need to take out the Florida game to know this year sucked. I'm fine with making a change but the first change that I would make is stop taking so many projects in High School recruiting and spend heavily in NIL on veteran transfers.
8 scored over 30 in 21
3 did in 22
3 did in 23
2 did in 24
7 did in 25

looking back we have had some easy schedules also

Biggest issue I have with this staff in this era. We should never be taking projects. Signed a great class and I'd say at least 5 or 6 won't play much at all here or they'll play out of necessity due to lack of portal action.

The overwhelming majority of our db recruits are projects. We need elite talent or at least solid players back there.

So what’s that got to do with how good they are? There not in the SEC so …..

Basically Ohio st .

Play one or 2 good teams all year, beat everyone by 3-4 touchdowns except for 1 game that they might even lose, yet dominate every team they play in the playoffs.

Just because you’re in a weak conference with a weak schedule doesn’t mean you’re not really good.
That's not what I said.

bama has beaten Georgia at least the last 2 times Kyle Olson officiated their game.

*I don't know who is assigned to the game
It's the Cajun, Daniel Gautreaux..... 20251206_161301.jpg
It's the SEC.....so I'm going to trust my instincts and say Georgia will get screwed by the officiating crew tonight

I haven't really included 2021 bc of the challenges Tenn faced. Easy schedules…. Strength of schedule in 2024 was 7, 2023 was 13, and 2022 was 4. How have other teams that are similar to us in talent and schedule fared defensively?

Maybe because they haven’t played anyone after first two losses?

should they be in over Miami?
whose Miami beat since the start of the yr? Fl, Fl st, pitt, Who has Miami lost to since then? smu louisville
If those 2 teams played right now ND would beat them. Should not have lost to them the first game.

I looked back myself and I just thought we had pretty easy schedules each year
I thought they seemed easy compared to what they could’ve been
Next year is gonna suck
